Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Tea Review & Giveaway (Canada Only)

As a woman who is a full-time employee, a wife, mother and grandmother, life can get pretty hectic. You run and run all day long and sometimes into the evening too.  You are exhausted and all you really want is a good nights sleep.  Sound familiar? So you try to get to bed fairly early but just can’t seem to wind down.  You are still thinking of all those chores on your to do list, what to make for dinner tomorrow and what you are going to wear to work in the morning.  Has this happened to you?  Well, it happens to me all the time. I just can’t seem to relax and get to sleep.

I noticed that the packaging is very minimal. Just a 100% recyclable cardboard box and a paper lining pouch to keep the tea fresh. I also noticed that there was no strings, staples or tags on the actual tea bags. These are the little things that most of us would never think about, but can make such a difference. I can’t believe that Sleepytime Tea is almost as old as I am and I have never tried it before. Very sad indeed. Well, as they say there is no time like the present. So I will be right back. Time to open the Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Tea and give it a go.

Ok, I am back with a steamy cup of Sleepytime Herbal Tea.  I have to tell you it smells amazing! As soon as I opened the box I could smell the Lemon Grass and Spearmint. Now for how it tastes. Awwh, warm and cozy. The flavours are very well blended. It has a very balanced flavour and no one ingredient stand out stronger than the other. It is really nice and I can see why they call it Sleepytime. It has a calming aroma and since it is completely caffeine-free it is perfect to have before bed.

Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Tea is a herbal tea that contains all-natural ingredients and flavours. There is no artificial colours or preservatives and as mentioned before it is caffeine-free. This night-time herbal tea contains chamomile, spearmint, lemon grass, tilia flowers, blackberry leaves, orange blossoms, hawthorn and rosebuds. With all these ingredients you would think it would have a very flowery flavour but I did not find that at all. Out of curiosity I visited the Hain Celestial Canada website and looked up some of these ingredients. (I love that everything you ever wanted to know is right there for you) Most of the ingredients in the Sleepytime Tea actually aid in good digestion. While on their website I also noticed that they offer other teas that can actually  help relieve a sore throat, cold or flu symptoms. I had no idea  that quality teas could be so powerful in aiding us with our daily health.

After trying Sleepytime, I can understand how it has become Canada’s #1 herbal tea. It is really good and does make me feel more relaxed. Definitely better than having regular caffeinated tea or even worse coffee.  I like having something warm to drink in the evening and sometimes make myself  a coffee. Big mistake. I am up all night tossing and turning and sometimes even suffer from heartburn.  This Sleepytime tea is sure to become my new favourite night-time drink. Warm bath, fuzzy blanket and a nice cup of Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime  Tea. Yeh that’s the ticket to a good night’s sleep. Sweet Dreams Everyone!
