Thumbs up digitalhome - Rodgers Free Kareokee on Demand for Rogers Customers

http://www.digitalhome.ca/content/vi...6/206/%3C/a%3E
Homes will be alive with the sound of music and off-key voices this weekend thanks to todays launch of Karaoke On Demand from Rogers cable.

The new Video on demand (VOD) service will be free to all of the companies digital cable customers in Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland on channel 100.

Video on Demand (VOD) is a generic term used to define a pay-per-view television service offered by cable companies in which a viewer can order a television program from a menu and have it delivered instantly to the television set, typically with the ability to pause, stop, rewind and fast forward programming.

With Karaoke On Demand, customers can choose from up to 600 songs (see launch list of songs below) from the VOD menu ranging from recent pop singles to classic rock and oldies. Using a remote control, customers select the song they want and start the song anytime they want. Sadly for those who have to listen, subscribers can play them back as often as they want!

The service is free on Rogers channel 100 and the company says consumers can look forward to new songs each month
