Head to Whyte Avenue for some icy fun for the whole family. See ice sculptures in action as they show off their talents on giant blocks of ice. Artists from across the country will create eight ice sculptures. The sculptures will be judged and awards presented, visitors are encouraged to watch the creation of the sculptures and then return to see these completed masterpieces on display.

The festival takes place Festival Park in Old Strathcona. Events are open to the general public between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.

What's on? The Telus Family Ice Adventures is the site of a giant ice castle, two ice and snow slides and an ice maze. Ice sculpting workshops for school age children will be presented daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Family entertainment will take place on evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
