We just had a huge windstorm and our power in surrey was out for 7 hours.

we had that same storm here on the mainland my cuz lost power for a couple of days we were fine though ours just flickered for a bit .

It was pretty bad in surrey, everyone went to Guildford mall! lol

Yes, storms are terrible if your not prepared. I save 4 l. jugs of water. We recently had a water break here, no water for 8 hours which is not bad. People freaked out. I did however offer it to the people around here who had small children. If needed they could of boiled snow. We all have to be prepared as we cannot predict the weather. The weather channel tells you how to make an emergency kit. Our world has changed therefore we all need to change too. Be prepared!
