Thumbs down WARNING!!! If you sent away for a free Cooking Light Magazine....

WARNING!

I guess I must have signed up for this freebie (that wasn't even a freebie)because I got a bill in the mail for $33.00 and never even received any magazines!!!

If I knew I would have to pay for it, I definetly wouldn't have ordered it....

I'm not sure if anyone else got this (yet)...

This is the statement that is in that offer. You do have to cancel or you are billed. For more free cooking magazines go to Reiman Publications, but you do have to call the 800 number or mail in your cancellation or you will be billed.

Yes! Please send my 2 Free Trial Issues of COOKING LIGHT. If I like COOKING LIGHT, I'll pay just $18 for the 2 trial issues plus 9 more, a total of 11 issues (1 year). I save over 60% off the newsstand price! If I'm not satisfied, I'll return the bill marked "cancel" and owe nothing. The cancellation is effective immediately, and any trial issues I receive are mine to keep free.

The only problem is that I never even received my 2 free trial issues!!!!!

Do you know where I would find the 800 # ? You would think they would send it with my bill...

This happends with a lot of free mags. I rarely order magazines because I usualy end up calling customer service to cancel the subscription.
One thing you can do when you call that I always use is that I say "I never ordered this" or "(the person this is labled to) does not live here"

they always apologize and cancel it right away. Im sure tehy get those 2 excuses all the time.

this has been bothering me all night... lol... it just looked soooo familar.. and I figured it out... there were two links.. one for the 2 free mags... which unfortunately are the ones I guess you signed up for, and then there was this one:

https://www.timeinc.net/cooking/secu...s07/enter.html

which you can also sign up for, but it's for a free limited addition mini magazine and a free dvd

now I can sleep.....
