Baker's White Chocolate Baking Squares Recall

Kraft Canada Inc. has issued a recall for Baker's White Chocolate Baking Squares (170 g) with a UPC code 0 6618800860 3 and Best Before dates:
08 AL 04 (April 4, 2008)
08MA 19 (May 19, 2008)

This product may be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacterium that causes foodborne illess. No other Baker's White Chocolate or other Baker's products are impacted by this recall.

We ask consumers not to use these products and call 800-816-9432 with any questions or to request reimbursement for purchased product.

We are taking a number of corrective actions on our Baker's white chocolate business, to enhance and strengthen our own processing and program controls. We have a goal of always being able to assure consumers of the safety of our products, and we regret not having met that high standard in this case.
