You have to register your wii and give the serial code for it.
This is beucase many people were having accidents with their wiimotes where the strap broke and the controller went flying into the tv.
if you have a wii (and we know at least one user does) It is suggested that you get the replacement and then use both straps at the same time.
It was sorta like a recall on the straps beucase they were breaking off.
This one is not a freebie, you need to register your wii first.
