Default Scam emails info site

http://www.scamwarners.com

Some of my fellow baiters from the 419eater.com have made a new board that has a ton of information on email scams. We have gathered up what we know and am trying to get as much info together in one spot as possible.

It also has a forum, and a contact us link with any questions that you might have, and might send you in the right direction for help

I also just want to say here that if you know of someone that might be a victim of such a thing, and they are not believing you, you might send them to this board as well. If you are really desperete, let me know and I will try to help as well.

hmm interesting that you said that .. i was sent a letter stating that a man had cancer and had 50 mil in trust and to call a trust company in london england to get two trunks of cash i was to get 40 percent of this money, i called the number and it was a cell phone and not a trust company,, so i called the london police fraud sqaud and sent over all the emails and then to my local authorities,, that night a huge terrorist plot was intercepted in england ..please be very careful of what you get in mail amd dont beleive anyone is giving away so much money thanx for listening,,

Those are called phishing emails. The links in the emails lead to fake sites. When you sign in from a fake site, it gathers your log information and allows
the crooks access to your legitmate account

Banks are also targets of phishing emails. With that information thieves could clean you out, or get information for identity theft.

NEVER EVER sign in from an email link. ALWAYS ALWAYS go to the site ANY SITE via the address bar and the orginal site address.

When I go to do internet banking, or go to my ebay or paypal site, I clear my cache and cookies BEFORE I log on, and after I am done.

I get emails almost on a daily basis saying I won a huge amount of money. Sometimes says it's under Coca cola or RB....it's so annoying. Is there someplace we can forward the email to online??
