hand icon Yummy Salsa dip

Yummy Salsa dip
(a complete dish for those times with family and friends)
(this is also a great Christmas dish, as it is red, green and white

you will need :
head of iceberg lettuce
4 or 5 tomatoes (depending on the size)
green pepper
tub of sour cream (not the small one)
pkg of cream cheesh (room temperature)
block of cheese (mild, med., old.. your choice)
jar of salsa, homemade or store bought
a couple of bags of nacho chips, the new scoop kind are great for this
*******************
first prepare the dip portion

In a bowl, use a mixer to blend the softened cream cheese. Then add the sour cream and continue to blend briefly to a smooth texture.

on a large round or oval platter ...

place a small bowl upside down in the center (this is to block the area from the following veggies)

chop and separate the following into mouth sized pieces
*******************************
lettuce (iceberg, romain, whatever your fav.)
tomatoes (chopped smaller than the lettuce)
green pepper .. i use green but can be orange or yellow too (chopped smaller)

Arrange around the upside down bowl, the lettuce, then tomatoes, and last the green pepper. Lift up the bowl and remove. Now you have a spot for the cream cheese sour cream mixture. Pour or scoop some of the cream cheese, sour cream mixture into this spot. Ontop of this mixture, pour or scope some salsa. (cover the white)

Now, grate your cheese ontop of the salsa... looks great

serve with your favorite nacho chips.
from experience, offer a bowl to your friends, and place a spoon on the side of the platter.

(I know there is alot of chopping and cutting veggies, but the taste is well worth it)

................
enjoy
