howdy CFS fans !thanks for the advice crackercrumb and roswell. I think that I am going to scale back what I am doing especially on the dailies. Maybe I will enter most of the dailies once a week except the ones I really want. That would cut down my time and still give me a fair number of entries compared to most people.

This might put a damper on some of the US based blog contests:

The government or some other crap that deals with the government wants to regulate them due to the fact that many people do not disclose that they have received the product free, so they post a biased review on their blogs which might lead to something else.. I can't remember anymore really.

Ok i will probably be unpopular for saying this but more people that use this site regulary need to help post contests,as you might have noticed there have been hardly any post's because the same people keep posting and do all the work and it does take alot of time and usually the person running the site does alot of posting but on this site thats not the case, and also people must check if their contest has been posted!please if we all help out maybe we will get the people who did all the posting to come back to this site! Let's all work together and if it dosn't work well at least we tried. Does anyone know if happycappy still runs this site? Haven't seen her name or most of the moderators except one or two, am i blind?

When I look at how many contests are ending in September 2009 (a huge number of the dailies and lots of the weekly & once only), I am looking forward to seeing all of the wins that everyone gets mid Sept to the end of Oct. It should be a really good time for winning. Good luck everyone and I hope that all of you have some big and little wins in your near future.

Welcome and good luck to you. Can't help you with those sites as I do not enter them.
I have been consistently entering contests for almost 10 months now. Most of the prizes have been $50 or less. In 10 months I have won about $1,500 worth of prizes. The 2 biggest were a weekend in the wine area in Niagara ($850) and a picnic prize package ($315) with a variety of things in it.
Make sure you enter local contests and ones for your province since fewer people enter. I have had a lot of luck with instant win contests (smaller things) so if you like the prizes try those. I have won with once only entries as well as dailies. I have not had a huge win yet but things are really picking up in terms of the frequency of my wins. It takes months before you start to win so do not get discouraged. Remember that many of the contests you are entering are at least 1 to 3 months in length and sometimes longer so it is a long time before you find out if you won.
Other good contest web sites are contestgirl.com, dealnetwork. I also like lastchancecontests.com since it notes what is finishing in the next few days. If you are just starting this will flag a lot of the once only entries that are finishing (the contest could have been running for ages so it is difficult to look at all the history but it will definitely help you.) Good luck and I hope to see your win announcements soon.

My husband received this scam as a text message on his cell phone. He's not from this country so he asked for help from his friends and they told him to delete it and not reply at all. I'm amazed that the scammers can even get to folks through cell phone text messages now.

I'm looking for some contesting friends to exchange names & email addresses so we can each increase our entries by getting bonus entries
for those contests that give you extra entries when you refer a friend.
Please send me a message if interested.
thanks,
Barb

I enter about 30 daily prizes- only things i really want. I give a lot of prizes to family members etc - good for gifting too
Organization is key to tracking. I use my word program and create tables where I list: direct link, expiry date/time, and different pages for daily/weekly/monthly. I keep and alphabetized list of all contests I have entered and close dates on lined paper. I cross them out when the contest is over. This way I am sure not to enter a contest 2x when there is a limit of 1 entry. I have had a few small wins this year, but did well last year- I won about $4,000 worth of prizes and money. Hope this year will be as fruitfull- but I am working now and rarely find time to get on the site anymore.

It takes a bit of luck too. All it takes is one ballot. The biggest thing I ever won was a 4 night stay at the Delta, Whistler BC, with RT air from Toronto for 2 and 500.00 spending money. I only entered one ballot and it was probably the first contest I ever entered.

What is the protocol if you accidentaly enter a once only contest twice? Can you email the company and tell them or are you just out of luck?

Hey anyone know anything about the Dr.pepper "win an Unrivaled multimedia laboratory" contest? I went to my store to buy a bottle for the "win your ultimate chill zone" dr pepper contest that is currently going on and found a random bottle for a different dr.pepper contest. The bottle says to go to drpepper.ca and that it ends on june 30th but i'd love to know when it starts. obviously after the current one ends but when?!?!?
Couldnt find anything online about it and just found the one random bottle at the store so was Just wondering if anyone knows anything. Thanks!

Do you enter contests if your kids are not the right age for kids contests? I mean like Froot loops want 6-17 year olds entering. Do you enter even if you don't have 6-17 year olds? I don't but just wondering.

My teenagers are 13 and 15, so I have entered that one for them but I also have an 8 month old. There are alot of tickets to be to won to kids themed shows that I don't enter because she's too young yet and wouldn't get anything out of it, but I will start entering them when she's a little older.
