Default LinRegina's 2nd coupon train - *full*- mailing today!!

    howdy CFS fans !
Since the first train filled up so quickly, I have decided to start a second one. This one will not be leaving until June 1st.

Boarding Pass will be $2+ in coupons off my wishlist (don't worry; I will make sure there are some easy coupons on there!). See the third post for my wishlist.

I will take the first 7 people to PM me their address and post in this thread that they want to join.

Once I have 7 people I will post the rider list and the order of the train.

    Rules:
    1) Please mail out within 48 hours

    2) Please get envelope weighed at the post office to ensure you have sufficient postage

    3) Please pm me and also post when the train is received and then mailed out. This helps keep track of the train.

    4) Replace $ for $, BxGx for BxGx, FPC for FPC..etc.

    5) Please no french, store specific, toonies for tummies or self printed coupons

    6) All coupons must expire July 31st or later

    7) no one from my other train can join (sorry peeps but I want to give everyone a chance to ride a train!)

Here's the short version of what a coupon train is and how it works:

I am going to make an envelope of about $200 worth of extra coupons that I have. I will organize the riders in order from west to east and then send the envelope to the first rider. Each rider gets to take as many coupons as they want from the train, but they need to replace them with the same $ amount of coupons as what they take out and b1G1 etc. For example, you take a $1 sunlight laundry detergent coupon and replace with a $1 huggies wipes coupon. Example 2: you take a buy 1 toilet cleaning gel get 1 free coupon and replace it with a buy 1 mars bar get 1 free coupon. When you have exchanged all the coupons you want, you need to add a boarding pass coupon for the conductor (me); this will be a coupon off the wishlist I will provide on this thread (post 3). The boarding pass compensates the conductor for the time to organize the train and the fact that by the time the train gets back to me, a lot of the coupons may be expired etc. Please be kind to the next rider and leave some good coupons for them and don't include multiples of the same coupon; nobody wants to receive a train with 20 vitamin coupons and 14 coupons for bandaids! Within 48 hours of receiving the train, you need to package it back up and send it to the next rider (addresses will be provided on a sheet in the train). Please take your envelope to the post office and get it weighed and measured to ensure correct postage. I estimate it will cost each rider between $2-3 to send the train along.

Since the train doesn't start for a few weeks, I would suggest collecting some extra coupons in advance to put in the train when it is your turn. Order extra online coupons and grab a few extra tearpad coupons when you see them. Also, there are inserts coming out this weekend and next so if you are able to get an extra copy that would help too.

That's all I can think of right now, but please feel free to post any questions you might have!

We can start a bit early, but I need to wait for some stuff coming in the mail and I think I will wait for next weekend's Smartsource insert too.

Order of riders has been updated in second post. We have 2 riders from Alberta and the rest from Ontario. The train is going to AB for 1 stop and then touring around ON for a while and then back to AB for another stop and then another tour around ON and then home to me. Hopefully by mixing it up across country, people will get a better selection of coupons to choose from. This might mean the train will take a little bit longer to complete so we probably will start a bit early.

Also, have posted a little mini wishlist for now. I will expand to include at least 20 coupons before the train leaves the station!
