Bamboo Charcoal Soap versus Oily & Sensitive Skin

    howdy CFS fans !
Normally I'm the last one to push health/beauty stuff but I have to this time hehe.

From about the time I was 12 I've had to deal with the dual problem of skin that was not just oily but sensitive. I was that kid in junior high who had to take not just prescription pills (which ended up yellowing my teeth as well *sigh*) for it but had to wash my face 8 or 9 times a day just to keep it in check. And the various soaps I tried would dry my face so damn much that it felt like I'd shaved with a knife.

Then I grew out of my teens and the acne went away with only occasional flareups but another problem emerged. All the oil in my skin was giving me infected whiskers that I'd constantly have to pull out because my razor wouldn't cut them.

I was browsing around on eBay the one day (wife wanted bamboo towels) and I saw someone selling bamboo charcoal soap.

I'd never heard of it before but the listing said it was supposed to help with oily skin etc (something a google search confirmed) so I figured I'd try it. (Cost me about $6 with shipping). It arrived yesterday and damn what a difference! I used it about 12 hours ago and my skin still doesn't feel oily! It took a little getting used to seeing black soap foam but it works great and didn't dry out my skin at all

Definitely would recommend, especially if you have oily skin yourself or teenager(s) with oily skin. I wish I could go back in time 22 years or so and give myself a couple hundred bars of it.

You're welcome! My daughters (3 and 2) love it as well lol. Not that they have oily skin but they seem to like how clean they feel after using it. (Well and it's a black bar of soap be fair).

Try one bar of the stuff first to see if you like it. If you do I can give you a site where you can get them in packs of 8 for cheaper (about $3.75 a bar instead of $6).
