Canada Post! howdy CFS fans !We moved December 3rd and I paid at least 2 weeks before for mail forwarding through Canada post so that everything would get to us. I had ordered some stuff for Christmas presents for my mom, sister and OH on Black Friday and wasn't sure when they would come so I put down my old address as the forwarding would take care of it if it came after the 3rd. Well so far I've spoken to the manager at Canada post FOUR times because I've had NO mail forwarded to me AT all. Yet everyday after work either OH or I have to drive out of our way to pick up mail.
So today the girl texts me to say there is mail. I send OH and when he gets there she tells him there is a package in the hall for us. Nope not there! So I figured the girl in the upstairs apt took it in to keep it safe. So I call her and she says no, but that she had seen it there on the table since FRIDAY and noticed it was gone this afternoon.
So then I start thinking about all the packages I had that I hasnt received and started going through tracking numbers and discovered that a package from Sephora... that I spent 140$ on had been delivered on THURSDAY! Neither of them apparantly saw it.
The Sephora package clearly states that it wasnt to be dropped at the door.
I spoke to Canada Post this morning and she said she would try and find out what happened to the packages and give me a call back either this afternoon or tomorrow morning. She did agree that neither package should have been just left there (It's a duplex apt and the hall is open to everyone so it is never OK for a safe drop!), even had it been the correct address so we will see what happens.
I'm honestly going to cry. I have no money to replace these things and I don't know who did it but I'm convinced it has to have been one of the two.
I feel so stressed out now, Christmas is ruined. :CRYING2:

Well.. to update, the one girl who lives in the upper apartment sent me a text today asking if it was a pink sephora blow dryer I had ordered and I said yes... that was one of the items. So she tells me that some 17 year old crackhead had been trying to sell it to her friend. She went to this girls house for me and got the dryer as well as the Ed Hardy Sweater and some of the other stuff. No idea what kind of condition everything is in but no doubt after this long at a crackheads house not suitable to gift at all! Canada Post better be willing to reimburse me for this!

I'm so sorry to read this. Especially at Christmas. I would be livid. Hopefully, they reimburse you for all this trouble.
Keep us posted.

Yeah so the sweater I got back was WORN, covered in cat hair and pretty much I'll have to give it to Amity because I CANNOT gift it. The same with the hair dryer. It had no package and was clearly used. I got 3 out of 15 nail polishes back and they were all the "yuckier" colours - and one had clearly been used even.
I've been chasing around the manager at Canada post and so far NOTHING has been done. She keeps giving me excuses and promising to call me back "in the morning" and never does.
I just don't know what to do. I have to buy EVERYTHING brand new again and I have no money to do it.
I went to the police station only to be told they can't do anything as Canada Post improperly delivered my items.
It's like nobody wants to do anything about it.
I've e-mailed both Sephora and Beyondtherack and have heard NOTHING back after 3-4 days so now I will have to call them both after work and get some answers as to what they can do.

Wow Sephora was amazing. They refunded me and the agent was so pleasant to talk to. Now I can go the mall tomorrow and repurchase the items. I can't get over how great Sephora was to deal with, I really wasn't expecting that at all.
I also called Beyondtherack and they are launching an investigation and pending what Canada Post says they will either reship the hoodie or refund me. (Can take up to two weeks tho so OH gets a late Christmas present.)

I'm sorrry to hear what happened. That really sucks. My advise would be to find out who is above the manager you have been talking to. Apparently she doesn't want to help you out. I find that by going to the top, if the person I have been dealing with isn't helping, has worked. I've had problems with both American Express and Sears and when I wasn't getting anywhere with the coustomer service, I sent letters to the President of both companies. Worked, got my money back or a credit.

Yeah I'm giving her until Friday and then I'm going to go above her. This is just ridiculous.

This is terrible, so sorry to hear about all this! I also on a regular basis have to walk mail over to the same house number but on the street parallel to mine. Obviously it's pure lack of caring on the mail man's part. It's very frustrating having to do their job for them!

I too have frustrations with Canada post. They like to shove my PG sampler in my small apartment mailbox and its so hard to tug it back out
that and whenever Im expecting a parcel they NEVER buzz me!! I've always been home when they have wrote down the time they showed up on the slip as a "no answer". My buzzer is in fine working condition as well. Its just a huge inconvienece for me to pick things up hence why I have them SHIPPED TO ME!!!

Nothing was ever done to help me aside from the companies I ordered from refunding me so I could purchase everything over again. The manager from Canada Post started to never return my calls and although she promised to refund me and extend my forwarding this was never done. If it weren't for my daughter being born prematurely I would have followed up properly. I can say that the next time we move I will not be bothering with the service. What a waste of $$.
