i recently had a poor experience at Lush. long story short, it was the last day of a BOGO sale (unknown to me) and i had left my debit card in the car. the girl had overheard me saying i was coming in the next day to the mall, so she suggested that rather than running out to my car in such cold weather, to just pick it up the next day. what a great idea!
so when i went back the next day, i was advised that the BOGO sale had ended the day before! when i explained to her what had happened, she didnt seem to care and began putting my items away :(
i emailed the company and they apologized and advised that they have an apology basket waiting for me at the store. as i am a shift worker, i asked that it be couriered to my house instead - still awaiting their response...
but will definately share what i got when i get it...love Lush products!!

we love lush products here but it seems that the workers aren't always as nice as what they sell.

I have never actually been able to enter a LUSH store, there are so many smells and purfumes I am sneezing just thinking about it. (just actually sneezed...lol)

do they have any vanilla products, I think that i would have to know what I wanted before i entered so that it would be a quick in and out...too much nasal stimulation for my poor head

well i am still waiting....i got an email from them (only after me inquiring) stating that they would have someone drop it off at my house in a few days - that was 2 weeks ago.
so i sent them a follow-up email asking if it was sent yet and cc'd it to head office...perhaps now i will get a response :o)

i dont think they have any one item that is just simply vanilla - some have vanilla mixed with other scents.
they do have a website and can order most products off there - maybe take a peek to see if there is a vanilla product that i am not aware of

after a few emails back and forth between me and the local manager and apologies and promises of 'gifts' and the lack of delivery, i emailed the district manager about how the false promises of 'gifts' is yet another fine example of poor customer service (at one point the local manager said she'd drop it off the following day, and over a month later, i still didnt have it).
i got a lovely lil bag delivered to my door last night - albeit by the manager who just thrust the bag at me and said "here, this is yours" and stormed off (she must have gotten in kaka).....this is what was in the bag and the $$ values:

Ocean Salt cleanser..........$17.95
Buffy lotion bar.................$10.95
Wiccy Magic Muscles.........$8.95
Mange Too massage bar.....$9.95
Bath bombs (assorted) x3..$17.65
Big shampoo....................$20.95

total with taxes - $98.50!!!!!!

even though the customer service was horrible, including the delivery of my apology, the free gifts rock!!!!!!

Good for you!!! I am so happy that you never laid off b/c bozos like that shouldn't get away with crap~no matter what type of customer you are. You seemed to be a patient and kind customer! Glad you were rewarded!! Plus I'll bet the company was happy for your speaking out. Least they know who they have working for them!!

Sounds a bit irritating. Was it the same woman both times?

I've been into Lush a few times, but I've never bought anything. My friend was obsessed with getting free samples from there for about two weeks. The store gives me a headache, so I usually avoid it. I hate headaches & all the different scents bother me alot. But, I forgot about their samples.. I need some new soap..

i got an email from the head office in bc - they advised they mailed me out some free gifts to apologize for everything - wow! i am excited to see what i get!!! if the local store gave me nearly $100 worth of free stuff....i wonder what head office will send!!
will post what i get when i get it

Try the "Honey I Washed the Kids" soap. The smell isn't strong so it won't bother you at all.

How do you get some free samples from Lush? I went into today with the boyfriend today, was hoping they would offer when they asked "Have you guys ever been in here before?" "Have you ever tried anything from Lush before?" that they would follow with some samples. I felt kinda stupid just going in & asking for samples!

dont feel stupid for asking! i have asked for some in the past and they gladly hand them out. their products are pretty pricey - although they last a long time and are great quality - so i like to try them out before making such an expensive purchase. in fact, my brother and i went in the other day as he wanted to get some cream for my sis-in-law, but we werent sure on what scents she liked, so we asked for a sample of 3 different kinds and they filled up little compote cups with each kind, labeled and everything with no problems at all
