Pantene Beautiful Lengths ( Donate hair for cancer patient wigs

Everyone has always told me that my hair is such a great color and never dye it, etc. And as a kid i HATED having my hair cut so it was rare for me to get one other than my mom trimming it. I continued to grow my hair and it pretty much got long enough for me to sit on it.... So a few years ago I did something I had been dreaming about for years. I cut 14 inches of my hair off and donated it.

Before I did take the plunge and cut it I found out about Pantenes beautiful lengths: Hair donation for Cancer patient wigs. There site is really helpful and give you tips on how to prepare your hair and keep it healthy while growing it out. It also tells you the donation requirements such as 8 inches minimum length. and then theres how to donate and a find a new style section.


It's been about 3 years since I donated some of my hair and me and a close friend are currently working on plans to go donate our hair ( her for her first time and me for my second) and we are trying to get some friends involved. The Pantene beautiful lengths program is great! I even got a letter from them thanking me It's framed in my room

If anyone is thinking about doing this I definitly think you should it truly is "The kindest cut of all"

Wow, that is so kind of you to donate your hair to such a great cause. My grandmother had cancer a few years ago and ended up having a wig, it looked great on her and made her feel a little more comfortable during a time when "how does my hair look?" should not be another one of her concerns.

My friends mom has cancer and she has a few wigs and my friend and I say if we see a wig that's strawberry blonde it's my hair ( but Rly they take hair from multiple people and treat it and stuff so who knows) but either way I Definitly felt great doing it!

If your hair is like, 8 inches, but it's layered and stuff so it's not that length throughout, do you know if they still accept it?

I decided I wanted to do this last year around this time, and haven't cut my hair since. Don't think my hair's ever been this long, but I love it. May just have to wait a bit longer before I finally go donate

Thanks for donating hair ladies...I have lost my hair due to treatments ..never wore a wig,just scarves, but its a great thing your doing...Thanks again!!
