| The Ultimate Beaver | well my new cell phone from telus stopped working a couple months back and it was a defect with the phone so they sent it off to get fixed when i got it back as soon as she handed it to me i said "that's not my phone" it was scratched and stuff and wasnt mine they said the body was my phone they just had to replace the insides as it couldnt be repaired well through a series of wierd events with my bill today i discovered that while my phone was in for service i was subscribed to some services that i didnt want and that the phone in fact is not mine so instead of replacing their defective phone with a new one they tried to pawn off someone elses used phone on me i have the serial numbers so i am going in now to the store and some heads are gonna roll i am sooo choked |

| Guest | I too have had bad service from telus . I changed my service provider as well . they once charged 40.00 for a regular long distance phone call. it was not even that long of a call. (about 20min) I immediatly phoned them told them i was disgusted and i would be changing providers. After I changed my service provider they called me and tried to win me back by offering me discounts , credits on my account . I told them nope if you would have cared that much about me when you had me as a customer i would still be there. |

| The Ultimate Beaver | well it has been over a week and i havent heard back i am going to have to go in again they should be replacing my phone. from what i have found out they either sent me someone elses phone or put the used front of someone else phone on mine and changed out the mother board , that;s like if you took your new tv in to get fixed and they replaced it with someone elses used one nice eh well i am not letting it go so easy ya well it is a new phone and new contract so kind stuck with them |

| Guest | I have a telus pay n talk phone, and i wanted to switch to a contract, and they said that i needed a 1000 dollar deposit. I bought my phone out right when i got it as a pay n talk. You'd think that i wouldn't have to pay 1000. It's a bunch of bull. And it's all because i don't have the credit. I would switch to a different company but that means i have to get a different phone, and I love my phone :p it's a LG Keybo |

If you don't have a contract phone, I guess they think since you own your phone, they have no guareentee to pay your bill. ?? Do you have a line line with telus? or internet? | The Ultimate Beaver | yes contract for me too and they still wont do anything about the phone so still stuck with it i got the computer with their promo where if you signed up to the internet for 3 yrs with them you got a free computer so i did that couldnt have got a computer otherwise so stuck with them on all fronts for another couple yrs i guess i have no credit either but they didnt want a deposit maybe because i have been with them for 20 some yrs maybe they just dont know i have no credit LOL i used to have great credit soo ??? |

| Guest | Telus is the worst company!! I had nothing but problems. I purchased a $50 phone card for the month, 2 days later my phone was cut off. I called and the rep told me that I used $50 in normal minutes and didn't go for the plan!!!! I told the guy I've been with Telus for 6 months, every month using the same plan, and now you tell me I opted to pay $50 for 2 days of service?? Comm'on!! The guy isulted me saying it's not their fault I can't seem to set up my phone properly!! I told him to put the $50 phone card back on for the entire month- he said no. I told him that his attitude and lack of customer service just made my decision easier to switch companies. It cost me $50 to learn that I won't give another cent to a company that doesn't respcet or appreciate their customer's partronage!! A month later, I started receiving promos and special offers if I would come back to Telus- %$## that! I bought a Virgin Mobile- and I love it! No access fee to pay, top up online, free evenings and weekend, free incoming- all for $40...$10 less than Telus, AND I have free incoming! Learn you lesson, you might love you phone man, but why give your hard earned money to a company that treats you like shit?? jmtc |

![]() | Yes, and with Bell Satellite as well. I have no problems with foreigners, but its so frustrating when its such broken up english. And when your frustrated to start out with, and then to deal with someone you can barely understands just worsens the situation. I try my best to have patience, as I understand english is a hard language to master. |

| Administrator ![]() | I have a problem with telus too! I have a pay & talk phone, Ive been with them for only 4 months. They have a package you buy for $15 to get 250 sent text messages, unlimited incoming, voice mail, call display, unlimited web browsing to 100 selected sites. Well I use the web browsing often and every day I was charged for it. I called many times and they told me that I am going to sites that are not included. Well I checked it and Im not. What was happening (I found out more from seeing my account online) I was being charged for ADS! Some at .25 per view!! I have not called them since I figured it out but I should.. I just dont want to talk to someone who cant speak english

| Smart Beaver | i was with telus once.....almost every month i would check my bill and see they have subscribed me to another service. i always had to call them to get them to take off services. once they charges me the same service like 5 times....like i had 5 phones on my plan....WHAT??? so once my contract was up i got out of there. |

| Guest | Hey, Telus and Rogers are owned by the same company so if you don't like Telus don't go to Rogers. I've been with Rogers and had nothing but bad service! I have also heard horrible things about Telus and a lot of bad thing about Rogers. If your looking to switch phone companies Virgin and Koodo offer the most bang for your buck. I have a plan with virgin and I have sooooo much stuff on my phone and pay way less then I did with Rogers when I had less features. Koodo is even cheaper supposedly then Virgin. Canadians pay the most for cell phones in the entire world. Our Canadian companies are scamming us. Virgin isn't a Canadian company and neither is koodo so they offer better rates. There is also another phone company coming to Canada in 2010 that's supose to offer Canadians really really super rates...I can't remember the name of the company off hand but it's popular in other countries. |

| Leaping Lemur | Thats bad! you should get compensated because its kinda like fraud. I used to have pay & talk with them but I don't use it anymore. Whenever I would have a problem with their customer service I keep calling till I get someone nice oh my this is quite embarassing, one time I lost my buspass and it was freezing outside I was really mad because the busdriver didnt believe me and I was cold and changeless, so I had to walk, I decided to take out my frustration on my poor phone I started throwing it around the snow and cement. It was an old phone and at the moment I didn't care. But I managed to get $100 credit for a new phone! |
