Not sure if I am the first one to post as it is already August 9. My summer has been super busy. I spent the first week at an Environmental Conference of Energy, then 3 weeks in Victoria visiting my parents and then a week on a cruise to Alaska with the entire clan. I am back to work next week and can't wait to share my experiences with my students and hear about their summers as well!

I don't get an actual vacation this year, I'm working all summer.
We did go camping for the civic long weekend, we went to rodeo du camion in notre dam du nord (truck drags in quebec) it was fun but I had been sick so I didn't enjoy it as much as other years.

My hubby starts his vacation the end of next week and we are looking forward to that. We are planning on staying around home for the two weeks but are planning day trips to various spots and just enjoying some leisure time. Plus our Anniversary is the long weekend at the beginning of Sept. I've been busy all summer with working in the gardens and doing alot of painting in and outside the house. It's been a great summer. Hard to believe we are almost half way through Aug already.

My husband and I bought a puppy - a Spaniel named "Bess", a sister for Lara the other Spaniel. The cat is angry, but when isn't she?
Summer with a new pup has been great - out to the beach and she's a swimmer at 9 weeks! Also up many nights taking her outside, but that's okay, weather is beautiful and warm, and it's quiet outside.
If you want to see her, she is on "wachtelhundful" channel on Youtube.
That's my summer!

We took a vacation to the Oregon Coast in March before I went back to work from mat leave. It was fabulous, sunny & warm.
Then I went back to work & decided it wasn't for me. I have been having a wonderful summer with my son. We have been swimming, going to the water park, going for walks, visiting relatives close by, been to the zoo and just had a great time hanging out.
We ae just going to continue doing more of the same for the remainder of the summer.

Spent 5 glorious days on Lake Kushog, ON. We swam, paddleboated, kayaked, fished, tubed, jetskied, powerboated, sun worshipped, hiked, sat around the campfire, played hide-and-go-seek, fed ducks and chipmunks, turned up the music and danced, drank and ate like kings. I'm exhausted but happy.

Not much to tell about my summer vacation, it is the same old same old. Nothing exciting is happening. Don't want to go swimming, the water level is too low. I had to go to a funeral for my friends grandfather and yesterday was the grandfathers birthday so people were kinda of depressed, which is normal We are trying to get our car on the road and we are looking for a new place to live. I guess the only exciting thing about this summer is I got a new kitten.

Hey BCChick,,,out my way your are if your going to Mable Lake,,yep my hubby has gotten a few salmon this season already too,,
My Summer is usually just spent here at home, with lots of out of Province Company coming here,,the Sunny Okanagan with many many Lakes close by.
In July our son-in-law brought our grandson out,,then went home, so hubby and I could have our grandson for just about 2wks to ourselves ,,that was a blast..
Also in July one of my older sisters came from PG BC for a visit..
August more company, my middle dd and her boyfriend were here visiting for a week. We spent many days out at the lakes..Mable, Okanagan, Kalamalka, Sugar and Echo Lake...and our weather has been fantastic, sunny and hot,,
Some would say they are too hot but I love it..
The boys did lots of fishing, early in the morning and in the evenings..
Yes we rarely ever go anywhere in the summer no need too,,,,
Only a few more weeks left of summer, and not sure if any more company is coming yet or not, I know my middle dd and her boyfriend might come home for the Sept Long Weekend,,
Hope Your All Enjoying Your Summer

Actually didn't do much. Worked all summer long got one week off in july but husband was working.. so stayed home and relaxed. But mostly my summer has been really busy with renovations that we are trying to get done before the end of august.. and we are far from done! Also I didn't get the chance to go anywhere but it's okay since most of my family sibling came down for a visit so saved me the trip and the money...$$$ lol Just so sad that it's almost over...

We dont have matching weeks off this summer. So we made a few long weekends! I took the girls to Ottawa for a quick visit, then hubby took the girls to the cottage in the Ottawa area for a week. We have camped a few times to coinside with DD dirt bike races.
I would love to go to Yellowstone.
Being in the travel bussiness we tend to travel off season..... sept-nov or april-may! lol!
