Same here! Although... I'm not sure about the whole "sugar free" aspect, probably won't taste as good as real sugar LOL. Thanx for the post!

Default Offer is finished :(

Was excited about this one, but here's what the page now says:

We sincerely apologize but do to the overwhelming response we are going to have to stop the offer for the FREE bag of candy. We had budgeted for 2000 responses and we have well over 10,000 to date.

Oh well... hope those of you who got in on this one enjoy your candy

I think this is extremely rude of this company. If they are giving away free samples, they should honor their promise and not make people redo the survey again. I thought this company would be good, sincere and honest. I was even thinking that if I enjoyed the sugar free candy i would buy it instead of say a regular chocolate bar. Oh well, their loss. I have lost respect for them having to even point out this website and bash it. A respectful company wouldn't do that to it's consumers.

i think that a company is looking for a certain demographic, and for this company it was more then likely people with diabetes and when we freebie hunters all log on and request samples it over whelms the sample dept, i don't think what they have done is wrong, they posted an apology and are willing to now go forward and send requests after consideration of the survey. and now they are prepared to handle the response, and having to redo the survey isn't that bad, honestly, especially where you are getting something free for doing it. at least they posted the situation and just didn't send the samples as some companies do. my respect for this company has not changes. i could understand if you heard about this through the regular channels if you have diabetes but complaining about what they have done by actually going through a freebie site is kinda hypocritical don't you think? sorry if i hurt anyones feelings but it is my opinion

Haven't hurt mine, however....

I think that this company is still in poor taste. They should have outlined that they demographic they were looking for was specific subscribers or those whom have diabetes. It's a well known fact that many people can come close to getting diabetes no matter your age. You could be a young child or even someone later in age. It doesn't matter if you have it now or not, there is still a very scary possiblity you may get it in the future with all the sugar that is put into products. Cutting back on it never harmed anyone and certainly a trial of candy could help save someone from ever getting diabetes. They may decide to do no sugar treats as a concern for their future health.

What it all come down to basically is that it was poor communication. Hopefully next time they'll state EXACTLY whom they are looking for. Most companies don't generalize like that. They keep it open to everyone as they don't mind making business from all demographics.
