I have done this before but a long time ago. The puzzle came almost as a sort of kit where you put it together, then glued it to a thin piece of cardboard of sort. Then there was some sort of shelac (sp?) that you brushed on top that held it together more securely and also gave it a nice shiny finish. You could easily buy picture hangers that just have the sticky adhesive or I am thinking maybe even one of those 3M hangers would work. Depending on the size/weight of your puzzle.

I have done this many times. Actually glued on together last night. Some come with kits, others dont and you have to buy the puzzle glue. I have hung them several different ways. I used to just nail them to the wall (when I was young and stupid) lol.. left nasty holes....then I used mac tac (that didnt hold). I have found for myself...the best way if you really like the picture and really have the desire to see it hung on the wall...is to eaither buy a cheap frame to fit...or even build a frame..they are very standard to make and very cheap to make. I have done this with many of them in my home and they look great. A couple that I used really high end puzzle glue on dont even look like puzzles anymore they just look like pictures. Dont know if that is of any help to you but for me...thats what I like best. You could also build a shadow box if you dont want to use a standard frame...I will be trying that with my next one! lol. Should be fun I am a puzzle geek...always have been. Hope this helps...and enjoy your puzzle building!!!
