Another package came in the mail today, I think it's something else I ordered, though it came in 5littlemonkeys name, so one can never be too sure. Maybe because Paypal is in his name that's why.

It actually warmed up some here, too. It's now +6 lol. But I opened the living room window a bit while the girls are upstairs and it doesn't feel too bad.

Here's a question for everyone to answer - that is, if you see it lol.

Besides photos, pets and people in your house, what is your most cherished possession(s) and why?

My answer is: The crafts my kids have made to give to me. Just above my desk I have 3 picture frames that Heather made me in preschool. ONe is of her footprints, one hand prints (last years mother's day gifts), and a special santa craft made from her hands. They're upside down hands, her fingers are white, while the palm and thumb are green on one hand, red on the other. The end of the thumbs have a green fuzzy ball, and a red one, with a nose and eyes - Santa's! Upstairs I have cards and other things that my boys have made me over the years. They never did the handprint thing, or they too, would be hung on the walls .

Aww, that is so precious BloomingRose! I personally love and think that hand made cards and gifts are the most wonderful gifts because time, effort and thought goes into making them. n__n

For myself, my most prized possession would have to be my laptop, as cheesy as that sounds. Without it, I truly would be lost. I keep in touch with family and friends on it, play games, am able to do my homework, browse the internet and talk to each and every single one of you so I`d say its pretty special in my books. Even though it and I have a love hate relationship most of the time. :p

My most cherished possession besides those things you already listed would have to be a tie between my ring my boyfriend gave me and the big book of drawings and poems he drew and wrote (himself) for me. He gave them both to me for Christmas. <3

Aww, Zangel! That is just adorable that he would take the time and effort to do that. Not a lot of guys would do that. Its much easier to just buy something for someone, however I agree that it doesn't have the same effect as putting the time and effort into hand making something. He definitely sounds like a keeper.

3. a porcelain unicorn. all white except scorch marks, missing tip of the horn and a hoof. i took it from the ashes of my grandma's place. my second home as a child

My most prized possession is my memories. More important than any other material things. I realize this now that I have watched my mother-in-law loose all of hers. Dimentia/Alzheimer's is so very hard on the whole family. I cherish my memories of my childhood, my teens, my adulthood, getting married and having child, step-child and now Grandchild. Please don't ever take my memories away.
