Oh I love carmel too!. My son has been bugging me that he want to try a carmel apple. I found a recipe for mini ones that you make with a mellon baller and melted chocolate. Apprently it is hard to get caramel to stick to an apples wet surface.
Got the kids out in the rain with their new dollarama shooters. They had a blast. I am feeling a bit lazy now. Time for a coke or a tea.

I'm here again for a bit. The girls have eaten, I've swept the floors, and now have all the baby bottles in the sink ready to be washed. Will do that shortly so I can get them all made and in the fridge. The girls are happily playing, and it's nice and quiet in here
. OH and guess what? It's not gonna rain, at least not at the moment, it cleared up and it's nice and sunny and blue skies out there,
!!
I forget where and when it was posted, but yes, Keeper, poor hubby has been working alot. They ran into some troubles with the original garbage truck, so they had to use their 'spare' which isn't very good, either, and then they ended up with backup drivers, which drive super slow and like to try and change how things are normally done. That's pretty much what causes the longer days, is the stupid backup drivers lol.
Omg, my dog is really annoying when it comes to the train. Every time the train goes by, she howls and takes a fit, she's scared out of her mind from it, and I have NO idea why or what her problem is. She can be fine till she hears it, and then she's jumping at the door and 'screaming' as I call it. She's currently taking a fit cause the train is going by. Anyone ever heard or have a dog act like that due to a train, or something else? How on earth do we 'fix' it and get her to stop? It really annoys me when she's jumping up on the door all the time, as she's scratching it, and I personally see no need for her to behave that way. Just wish I knew how to get her to stop. Anyone got ideas or tips?? lol. It's the horn of the train that drives her batty, I get she don't like it, but good grief, it's not the end of the world LOL.
Oh and wow we're on page 2 already of a fresh chat thread! That's great to see
. Come out come out new members, we KNOW you're here, hiding in the shadows!!

Asirk - waiting on that too! Hub isn't home yet with my cooking spray and the longer i sit the harder it gets to motivate myself!
Blooming - check out forums on Ceasar Milans page - he has great info on how to help dogs with noise fears! I heard good/bad reviews of the thunder coat but not enough good to try it for my dog who is terrified of thunder/wind/plastic bags etcWhen you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!

Wow your dog is scared of a plastic bag?? I never heard of that one before, and here I thought my dog was strange LOL. Sorry, just in a whacky mood. Wow, I looked at the clock on the wall, and it says 2:50 - that was when it really WAS 2:50. I looked again just now, and it STILL says it, looked down at my laptop clock and it says 3:05pm. Phew, good thing I looked lol. The day went by pretty fast I think, now it's time for the kids to get home, and hopefully hubby soon (he shoulda been home by now, but they got off to a super late start, so I don't expect to see him till about 5).
I will definately go check out that page you mentioned, anything to give us, and my neighbours some sanity when she's out and the train goes by is good to look at. I just don't get why she acts that way!

Yeah i don't know why my dog is scared of plastic bags either. She was a rescue dog from a reserve so i don't know if plastic bags blowing around is what got her scared of them or what. She has a lot of little fears - hoping porcupines is one of them now! If you even take a new garbage bag out and snap it opened to put in the can she flips out and runs away.

Okay still lazy but got some bad new that my Uncle results of his angiogram were not good and they were admitting him and he would need open heart surgery because there were multiple blockages and some were 100%.
So now I am a bit distracted and the brain is going in like 20 directions. I am trying to get the word out to other family.
Oh your dogs I sure hope thing improve with their fears.

Good Afternoon

You guys sure have been chatty since this morning. Page two already? wow :p
It's nice and sunny here, a little cold. I could have sworn it was raining when i was in bed earlier, but when i got up and looked outside - no signs of rain. Which is probably a good thing.
We have a whole freezer full of frozen bananas. My bf always tucks a few in there when we go grocery shopping saying he's going to make banana bread, but so far no banana bread...just a freezer full of bananas
We used to bake all the time together, but in the last year or two we just stopped. There's the odd time we still cook up something delicious. Would be nice to get back to doing it again on a regular basis.
I'd love to make some fudge. It sounds pretty easy to make and it's so so delicious.
atsirk: thanks for the heads up on the cadbury page
I am always interested in a good contest.
Ljaned: Sorry to hear about your uncle. I hope after the surgery things get better for him. Sounds like he's got a lot of family to support him.Plz vote daily for the guy in the red shirt with the tape over his mouth!! http://www.giveitup4empire.com/ Vote until july 2nd

Oh I'm so sorry about your uncle Ljaned! Here's hoping all goes well!
All this talk about baking, does anyone wanna bake some goodies and send them to me? I could use some fresh, homemade muffins with my morning coffee, or just as a snack! And banana bread sounds yummy too. I'm thinking we need to splurge and buy the fixings to make some. We did buy a ton of banana's last month at some point, with the intent to make banana bread, but the banana's got eaten seperately instead of letting them get super ripe, oops!

Looks like i did ok today - only one cut to show for 2 large loaves, 2 dozen mini muffins, 12 jumbo muffins, 12 piece squares and 4 mini loaves. Shame its on my middle finger tho - guess i wont be flipping anyone off for a few days :p
I went through my baking cupboard and found a can of condensed milk so if i get an extra boost tonight i might try making caramels otherwise it can wait til tomorrow. Also found a simple sponge toffee recipe i'm curious to try but i need to send Hubs to the store to get more honey.
Hope everyone had a mellow afternoon :0)When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!

Good evening everyone!

Sure hope you had a lovely day today.
Time sure flies when you're having fun. I spent practically my whole afternoon on Pinterest again, haha. Its becoming such an addiction!
BloomingRose: As strange as it sounds that your dog is scared of the train, its not so strange at all. I'm not sure why he/she is scared but some dogs just have irrational fears. My cousin's dog was scared of fireworks, go figure.
I would recommend what Wendy says and check out Caesar Milan's website out. He is a dog guru!
Atsirk: Thank you very much for the heads up on the Cadbury giveaway. I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled. I would hate to miss out on a chocolate giveaway. :p
Wendy: Your banana muffins and baked goodies sound delicious! You're making my mouth water as we speak.
Ljaned: I am terribly sorry to hear about your uncle and sure hope everything goes well. I bet you can't wait to see your parents as well. ^^
Also, just a reminder that in another 5 minutes there will be a Tabasco giveaway on Facebook. They are giving out 200 sample kits so make sure you get yours before they are gone because they run out extremely fast. From what I've heard the Tabasco company is very generous with their samples. Good luck to everyone who'll be trying for one.

Thanks keeper for the heads up but didn't make it in time. How about you?
Wendylady36 one cut isn't bad for all of that baking!
My Uncle is going to surgery this Friday so hopefully all will go well. But at least with that decision the drama has settled down. Thanks for the best wishes.

Ljaned: So sorry to hear about your uncle, sending best wishes to you and your family and hoping everything turns out good.
Wendy: Sounds like you had a very productive baking day!
Keeper: I just missed the tabasco giveaway
maybe tomorrow! Thanks for the reminder though.
Just got home from having supper, the restaurant was very nice. Everyone was very impressed with their food, which doesn't always happen for everyone in our family to love what they ordered. It was a very cute atmosphere too, looking out on the lake. I'm stuffed because we came home for cake too.

Ljaned and Atsirk: I am so sorry that you both missed it.
It does go by super fast and there are a lot of server glitches currently which is making people time out and very upset.
To be honest Ljaned, I have no idea if I really received the sample.
Their servers keep on getting overloaded and it takes about a good 2-3 minutes for them to start running again. By the time you're entering your information, all of the samples are usually gone.
Yesterday I was having the same difficulties and today I got timed out as well after I submitted my information, however I just received a confirmation email so I'm thinking I might have slipped through the cracks this time, thankfully!
*Fingers crossed*
And I sure hope you all get your samples too! Each day they are released at a different time so I would definitely bookmark their Facebook page and keep on checking.
