ew, I wouldn't those bagged salads are notorious for food contaimination and that's when there are still good, if you are going to attempt it, make sure to wash it really good beforehand

On the weekend, I had a really good drink, I don't drink often but this was yummy, it was a Bananatini from Vex hard lemonade, it tasted like a banana popsicle normally the only kind I like is their strawberry pineapple one

Do not eat that you will be sooooo sick! Then who is going to give me my laugh of the day? Certainly not my husband,he's been too grouchy!I think he is in guy menapause.

WOW I remember my grade 8 Graduation!


I Miss the good days of grade 8... And I feel bad seeing the new grade 9's in our school scared there first few days mostly because of initiation (dont know how to spell it) but the only kids I have seen get badly initiatioated were the ones trying to be tough and stuff. Mostly what happens is a 9 written on there hand ( and i'm glad)

Well to start it I have to clean my room Witch sucks but better to get it done now so i can have fun during the summer. So far I know I am invited to go to wonderland 2 times one with friends and the other with family... and other than that probley going places with my mom and dad when they have a week off. and probley going to my aunts cottage like 8 hours away with my grandparents

She Just came home from the hospital with the new baby! She is so cute Its been awhile since i have seen a newborn. I was so excited for them to come home to see them both

OK, so I went to the Wal-Mart downtown today - they just finished adding a produce, meat, bakery section. Wow, are those prices f'ing cheap!


Does anybody here hate Wal-Mart? I know a lot of people who don't shop there because they do not like how their employees are treated. I don't think they know how the servers are treated at their favorite restaurant. 14 hour shifts, no break or lunch... are subject to health & safety hazards, a lot of owners treat their staff like absolutely crap, intimidate them, humiliate them on purpose. Training most of the time isn't paid, sometimes checks are even paid! Tip outs are stolen. Tip outs are unfair. You have to tip out the house, even though they are paying you minimum wage.. sure servers make a lot in tips, it is what keeps them in these horrible conditions.

I work at wal-mart... sort of! I get around the whole moral dilemma because I am not actually a wal-mart employee. I guess I should say I work IN the wal-mart. I do product demo's. No... not the Sham-WOW! kind of in-store demo, just the kind where I hand out samples and coupons. I don't have to sell anything. I have gently tried to inquire about the working conditions in the store from the employees and I swear they are reluctant to say anything bad at all. I can't even get a definitive answer as to whether they do indeed have to cheer in the morning or do a drug test. It is a VERY mysterious place! Have you ever seen the Wal-Mart southpark episode? It's like that!

Now, as for the grocery section... It is totally evil and all that but I am totally poor so I like to take advantage of their price matching promise. Just bring your flyers in from any store and they will match the advertised price on identical items. It totally rules!

LOL @ The Sham-WOW! I hate that damn infomercial. When the mother & daughter say sham wow it's so not in unison, it's irritating, lol.

Yeah I have seen that South Park episode, if it's really sorta like that, that's creepy!! None of the employees look too happy at the one in Toronto, but really, no place I go to in Toronto seems to have employees who are happy - unless they are paid good money to do so. When I go home to Windsor everyone is so nice no matter where they work. The unemployment rate is the highest in the country there, so I guess they are just damn happy to have a job.

But yeah, if it's really like that, that's creepy.

Is anyone from Windsor? I forget. The garbage strike there - it's been going on for 10 weeks now. My friends & family tell me the whole city smells worse than usual.

my daughter whom was working at a walmart in alberta said it was a good place to work,,good pay, good hours and 2-15 min breaks with an hour lunch break. also while she worked there she had a 10% off discount on anything she bought..LOL she did lots of shopping for her sisters...she is now waiting to get on at the walmart closest to us,,they are expanding also,,,bigger food and produce section and the electronic dept, where they want her to work is also going to be way bigger..so she is trying to hold off until they are all done the expansion so she can get back on there,,they also have good benefits

Yeah i dont exactly understand the hating walmart thing. Tons of people still eat at mcdonalds dont they? And the workers at most of the resterants are treated like crap also. Even tho you get paid to work.. I wouldnt work @ mcdonalds If they paid me 20.00 an hour. Unless I rly needed the money but still there are so many workplaces now where the empolyees are treated like grabage!

Well thats my random rant for the day! So tomorrow evening I am off to as my mom calls them " my second family" and I'm there till sometime sunday... I'm so bored

Glad to hear that the salad didn't get you Crackercrumb. Well Liljj is done school for the year, Hope she did well on her exams. Looking forward to a day off tomorrow. I have a couple days off at the end of the month and think I am going to head up to Collingwood and rent a chalet for a couple of days. I need a hot tub and sauna weekend. I love Walmart and all their awesome pricing, but hubby doesn't like me shopping at a Company that is owned by the U.S.A. He always would rather me shop at a Canadian owned store. I don't know anyone who has ever worked there, so I can't comment on how they treat their employees. All I know is they are alway friendly and helpful when I go there.
