i know everyone is in bed but i had an idea. i need suggestions, i could just fly somewhere with one of my kids to a place that has something cool to see spend the day and fly back, i can go anywhere in the states, canada , caribbean or mexico suggestions please

ya would like somewhere were there is something really cool to see, like in mexico there is pyramids, but not sure if mexico is the place to go right now between drug wars and flus, not if i have my kid with me, beaches are great , but for the day ??? need a natural wonder or ruins or something , sorry the traveler in me would be bored with the beach ,someone here must have been somewhere cool, i have been to lots but they were all far away and exotic, so not sure about north american places

no coral reefs are cool i went to one in belize and the galapagos , but need one that is close to an airport LOL i am not being too difficult huh

So I guess I won't be on here this weekend, an impromptu camping trip at my bf's sisters, my bf was supposed to stay in town with me tonight but his dad decided that he (my bf's dad) was only going to stay 1 night so we have to go stay there, a 4 1/2 hour drive ( one way) for 1 night? I think it's crazy but...

Right after work I came home and got my dd and we went out for dinner with her girlfriend then they went shopping ,,,,Hubby left again this am to go fishing for a couple days,,so yeh all alone I am

Well, when I checked the travel advisories, Mexico basically had the same warning as the Dominican Republic (where I went to). The carribbean has a lot of poverty and violence, but it doesn't tend to be around tourist areas. I think the drug war is mostly in Tijuana and that region. I wanted to go to Mexico and see Chichen Itza, but back then the whole swine flu thing was going on so they had to change dates. :( Now people are allowed to fly there because it's a wordly thing anyways, and the Americans have way more swine flu than the Mexicans anyways!

The only places other than Canada and the U.S. that I have been are the Dominican Republic and England, and they're both amazing (though England beats it by a million! So much history!)

Ugh. So today I feel like complete crap. I had a sore throat wednesday and it got worse as each day went by. Last night I couldn't sleep, my throat felt like it was burning and itching and completely raw and I would cough and be moaning. Went to the clinic today and it turns out I have strep throat. This sucks!

EDIT: I have a grand mal seizure today, so I stayed home.

I have had such a horrible day today. I woke up vomiting (from the alcohol, probably), my body couldn't stop shaking, it was 79degrees in the place because even though the air is on it didn't work & the BF insists on keeping the blinds open even though the sun shines right through out window - and hard. I feel like I'm going to vomit now. My legs hurt so unbelievably bad & I messed up my back a lot when I had the seizure. I think I'm going to have to go to the doctor, can't move without it being in pain.

well, I'm back from camping and the bugs were horrible, black flies, deer flies, mosquitos, you name it, the deer flies were the worst for me because when they bite, it feels like they take a chunk out of you the weather was good and we were able to take the tent trailer down before the rain started today.

Well, have Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off work!! I so need a break right now. Work has been crazy with lots of insane issues to deal with. I am looking forward to some "me" time. Going to try to head out to the Toronto Zoo tomorrow. I hope it doesn't rain all day!

What you live in Toronto and have never been to the Zoo! ?* The Toronto Zoo is awesome!! Tell that boyfriend of yours to take you there. There are lots of Cheetah's you know. LOL LiLJJ wants to see the otters. I Love the Toronto Zoo it is so Huge and you can pet a stingray and see sharks and everything. The last time I was there it was like 100 degrees and we kept wetting our hair in the drinking fountains to cool off. This time I think we will be trying to stay dry!! LOL-There is tons of different animals and I think they even have a water park now too. Maybe I will take some pictures so you can have a virtual tour Cracker. Maybe even buy some ZOO-POOH while I am there. LOL

Well was a long weekend of working for me,,,didn't get home from work til after 11:30 pm last night and was back at it at 9am til 5pm today,,,so pooped
