lips Does Proactive work?

I keep seeing all the commercials and on the shopping channel. And lately I have been having zit problems, I never did before, not even as a teenager, but now the last 6 months, I am getting them all the time.

I have seen the Free Trial commercials, and so on, but am wondering if the High dollars is worth it.

Anyone else going through a zit problem in their 30's?

I'm in my late 20's and still have acne issues and I was also curious about Pro-active but was also iffy about the price of the stuff and my skin is sensitive to products but then I found out that one of my favorite shows on the W network, The Shopping Bags, did a review on pro-active and they found that it's not worth the price as the formula is the same as the stuff you can buy at the store so I won't buy it now but stick with the cheaper stuff. If you want to read their research you can find it here: http://www.wnetwork.com/tv_shows/sho...Talk.asp?ID=71

I used it for 6 months and it didn't work for me, but I am of the few that it didn't. It dried out my skin and made it look scaley. My best friend used it and it worked great for her. I have actually found great success with the Nivea sensitive skin line of face wash, toner and lotion. If the pro activ doesn't work you get your money back!

Good luck

seriously forget all this crap of washing etc
use vodka to dry the ones on your face and it will close the pores
then leave your face alone - dont introduce foreign products to your natural balance
vodka also helps with jelly fish stings, cleaning the shower and glasses, and best of all removing bandaids

My sister uses Proactive and it works great for her.. I have never tried it, but would I guess it depends of your skin type... I use peroxide on a cotton ball and rub it over my face when breakouts start.. it also gets rid of redness (don't get it on your eyebrows, it will lighten them)

I've been using it for about 6 months Cappy, and it works well on me and most people. Nothing else worked and i didn't want to try Accutane.
With proactiv you HAVE to stick to it though for results. If you skip for a few days it will come back really quick.

Btw, it lasts for a long time if you use the reccomended amount. Some people use too much.

If Proactiv fails, ask your doc about Accutane.

Vodka? really maybe if you drink enough your skin looks better lol ... I was going to but the proactive but i saw in the states i could get the start up kit for $29 but when i went to get it in the mall it was $75 i thought way too much , i have been using the loreal skin genesis and love it i got a sample in the mail it is like a serum you put on after using whatever cheap stuff to wash your face i use st ives scrub and then this serum and then the lotion and my skin is sooo soft. but i admit it takes like 5 min to do so if the vodka thing works it sounds faster . lol lynn so what do you keep a bottle of vodka in your bathroom ? lol

You can get the $29 one here. the $75 is probably the fullsize kit. It's worth it though, it lasts a ridiculously long time.
I actually buy the products separately cos i tend to run out of cleanser first.
