MISC Lilacs

Spring has finally arrived in Merrit BC. We can tell this by all the Lilacs that are in bloom. It seems like every garden has a lilac bush, or tree. Every colour you can think of. It smells wonderful outside. They have a deal here every year Bill Vanderzam supplies us with lilac bushes. The cost $5 but $3 are refunded if you return the pot. I got one last year for Mom day but I live in an apt. but the manager let me plant it in the front and it is now blooming and I love it.

My favorite too. They are all over the place here. I am off to buy one today. But for now the neighbours let me clip some for the house. Especially my bedroom. I love to wake up to the smell.

I love lilacs too I really miss my old lilac tree. When we moved we left it at the old house. It was a "French white" and smelled divine. I really regret not digging it up and transplanting it. But it would be a nice idea for my Birthday. Hint Hint Hint LOL

Our lilacs are finally in bloom as well. I love the aroma. I just went out yesterday and picked some off of our bush and brought them in the house. Better than an air freshener !

I was wondering if anyone has ever dried lilacs ? For potpourri ? If so, how did you do it ? Or can it be done ?
