The MOVE

So we moved on Saturday to our new house.

We still have barely anything unpacked because we have spent the last few days doing nothing but CLEANING.

The people that lived here before SMOKED inside and the walls are covered in it. After cleaning the walls they are becoming about 5 shades lighter than they first appeared. We also found mouse pellets in the kitchen cupboards and a giant hole in the wall that goes right outside in one of the cupboards.

The kitchen is a dirty greasy disgusting mess.

I want to cry.... so that is what I have been busy with the last few days and with no end in sight.

At least once this is clean it will be perfect for us. :CRYING2:

I've just moved to a new house about 2-3 months now. It wasn't bad at first but now we are finding out we have a mouse problem here and a problem of cold air in the bathroom as there is no heat vent in there so it's gonna get pretty bad to have showers this winter cause there's not much hot water either. Rents cheap tho so I guess I get what I pay for. Best of luck to you with the new place!

The landlord is going to seal the hole next Thursday and I have a built in mouse trap so hopefully things will get better. (My Cat!)

hope your cat is a good mouser. why wouldn't the landlord make sure the place was clean before you moved in? that's just nasty to move out and not clean. i always make sure to clean whenever i moved out.

Oh he was born to catch mice! lol

We switched places with the previous tenant, so they got our nice and clean apartment that needed no cleaning on their part. (Other than the ceiling fan which was dusty because I obviously couldn't get up there to do it.) The landlord had no chance to get it cleaned.

I asked for our carpets to be steam cleaned though and they are paying to get that done on December 21st.

It is so disgusting, I can't believe anyone could live in a house as filthy as this was.
