Hi there! I know you all don't really know me but I need some advice or I'm hoping someone else will know something about this condition.

My daughter will be 6yrs old in December and shes had a lot of problems. At 15 months she was diagnosed with condition that creates tumors. Shes had 16 MRIs now. She has a tumor on her brain stem along with 4 other "neurofibromas" spots that can become tumors.

In JK & SK she was having a lot of problems with being so hyper and so loud.. The teacher thought that she had ADHD. So they did a questionnaire and she was in the range for having ADHD. We just started to see a new doctor and he thinks she has something else called "Sensory Integration Dysfunction" also known as "Sensory Processing Disorder" The doctor is referring us to someone else and and Occupational Therapist to try and help my daughter. They say that SID & SPD are easier to treat then ADHD.

Does anyone know anything about Sensory Integration Dysfunction or have someone in the family that has it?? I just really don't know what to do.
