I love pinterest! You can choose category's you're interested in and see what everyone else has "pinned", and if you like something, you can re-pin it to one of your boards, or just "like" it if you don't want it on one of your boards. If something is pinned to one of your boards, you can go back and look at it later.

No, i'm not really sure how it would work for a business. I did stumble upon this on pinterest though: http://bloggingwithamy.com/pinterest-tips/ and they have some tips on how to get traffic to your website, but I'm not sure if that's useful to you or not. You might be able to google ideas as well.
The only business I follow on pinterest is Micheal's (the craft store). They pin different crafts so I like following them. Maybe you would get ideas of how a business would use pinterest by looking at their boards? http://pinterest.com/michaelsstores
