What is the scoop of Extra foods becoming a No Frills?

My local Extra foods is turning into a No Frills store. The local grapevine is it is because of the Super Walmart coming into town.

From what I have gathered, No Frills and Extra Foods is owned by the same company.

Any thoughts on "No Frills" ?

Just very curious is all on this set up. So if any of you shop there,

I thought extra foods was with superstore..? the one here is EXACTLY the same as superstore. Same brands same sales

Well there is not many of them, according to their site. Just like 3 in Alberta, and 4 or something in Ontario.

But I got tons of stuff today, since everything was 50% off, except food.

superstore is the same as no frills
superstore just has more non food sections
