The good folks at MIT have put together a programming 'language' called Scratch. The program allows you to lump together chucks of code like you would lego blocks in order to build rudimentary games, movies, etc.

My daughter has just begun looking at it, but it looks very promising... and best of all

that's great Marty, it's good to teach them while they are young, my 3 year old daughter has shown interest in the computer and how it works but her fave thing right now is the x-box 360, there are some of my husbands games that she plays better then me =)
