Anyone from Ontario?

Hey everyone! I was just wondering if anyone knows if you can return empty cooler bottles (or liquor bottles) back to the beer store????


(I just found about $2 worth of empties in our recycling bin, and don't feel like shlepping all the bottles to the store if they're not worth anything.)

I think you can now I rember hearing they changed the rules. I would take them back anyways just to see.

yes you can the only ones they wont take back are the coolers you can buy at the grocery store.they will even take old bottles back too !!!

ps ! you can take both types of bottles to either the beer store or liquor store they will accpet them

Thank you so much everyone!!! I went and grabbed all the empties I could find! There was probably closer to $3 worth of empties (plus I have about $5 more worth from Rob!!!) Must be my lucky day!!! hahaha!

It depends on the type of cooler, they take back caeser bottles, vex bottles (glass), margarita, smirnoff ice and those hydra water cooler bottles :P I know this because they are the only type I drink :;) but they probably don't take the cheapie ones from the grocery store

So you're telling me that the liquor store takes back empties too?

ps I think there were only a couple of vodka spritzers, the rest were corona, coors, and harp beer (never heard of it!)

free $ is always good!

Speaking of returning empties, when is Ontario going to follow other provinces and have bottle deposits for ALL beverage containers (it will make for a cleaner Ontario if they had an incentive of 5 cents for bringing empty bevy containers back!)

We're a little slow...I was impressed about the liquor bottles..kinda a no brainer??Hopefully all bottles will be refundable sooner than later...got to pressure our voted officials;)

remember when we were kids and our parents used to send us to the store with glass pop bottles? and we got to spend the money on candy!

(i now realize, what they were doing while all the kids were out of the house....lol.... no wonder we drank so much pop...)

yes u can take them to the beer store i took back a few wine bottles i had kicking around
