oh i will poor little guy but it is for the better i was supposed to have mine out but got pregnant and i wish i would have had the operation

I had horrible, painful, terrifying ear aches when I was a kid. My mom took me to the emergency room every weekend to beg them to do something about it. Finally, she brought me in, showed them some pliars, and said either take them out, or repair the damage after she does it!!! Needless to say, they took them out, and I am very happy they did. There is nothing worse than worrying for your child, my prayers are for you and your son!

My son had his out in January. He was okay until the meds wore off. Just remember it will hurt ALOT so dont force him to eat, just cool drinks. Popsicles will help too. I do not recommend ice cream or other dairy because it could not mix well with the anestisia and could make him throw up. OUCH but he will be fine in a few days. I think it is worse for the parents cause there is nothing we can do to take the pain away. just lots of cuddles and kisses.

My daughter got hers removed (along with her adenoids) when she was 3, because they were the size of big marbles (you know the big ones..lol) anyways they were causing her breathing problems, and when she was sleeping she snored like an old man.. when she woke up from the surgery, she sounded like minnie mouse..lol she was so cute, she was fine after and refused to take her pain meds.. and didn't even seem to be in any pain (what a tough cookie, I would have been crying..lol) so I'm sure your son will be just fine, I will keep him in my thoughts

awww it's worth it though my daughter constantly had ear infections and throat they finally took them out along with her adnoids and put tubes in her ear last year and she is soooo much better . he'll be sore for a few days my daughter bounced back about 3-4 days after and was eating fine...Stock up on popsicles and good luck

i cant believe how much better my son ate after as well. Before he could hardly swallow they were so big. He had his adnoids out as well and no more snoring for him either.

woke up bleeding from mouth and nose had to take him to hospital they put him on iv and (had to do something in his mouth) and now he is on meds in case of infection please continue to pray for healing for Ryan thanks

Poor Baby...poor mommy!!! This must be very frightening for both of you. I hope he has a very quick recovery. Keep brave, mom. If you dont show fear, he wont get as scared either. My thoughts, and prayers, are definately with you both!
