How to Retire Rich? One of my older friends, after Reading "The Wealthy Barber". Told me that if you were able to put $10,000 into RRSP's by the age of 20, it would accumulate into a million dollars at 65 if the money doubled every 7 years.
Of course that is in a Perfect world of course.
I have some good investments in my RESP's.
I"ve put in $6000 into my kid's education plan over the course of the last 8 years, and it's worth over $12000 It's doubled. And if carries on that rate it will double again by the time my son is done High School. So it could work in this case, But I have other money in RRSP's that is the same amount as the day I put them in there in over 10 years.
So I'm not sure if I will get to retire rich, but I do try to follow the guidelines of the "Pay yourself 10%" rule. |
