Leaving on a Jet Plane

I'm going to book my airplane ticket to Vancouver for the long weekend in May.

I haven't ever been there. So I'm pretty pumped about it.

As you all know my dad passed away last week, and I'm going to go and meet my dad's half brother. My dad never met him He only talked to him on the phone once about 12 years ago. So I think it's a blessing that he's willing to have coffee with me, and let me share an afternoon with him.

Long story short. My grandpa got a girl pregnant, and her and her family never let my grandpa or any of his family near the child, exept one aunt. (no idea why, just a bad influence) anyhow this poor kid ended up playing the organ at his own biological grand parent's funeral, and never knew the truth until certain people passed away. I couldn't imagine.

So I'm very happy that I get a chance to meet with him, I'm not sure how old he is, My dad passed away at 69 years of age, So I'm guessing he's in his 70's.

On that same weekend, we (husband, my brother, sister-in-law and I) are going to visit the Shania Twain Centre in Timmins. I'm really looking forward to this trip. Counting the weeks!!!!! LOL!!!

So sorry to hear of your Dads passing my condolences to you and your family.It will be so interesting for you to meet your Dads half brother,you will have a lot of memories to share.I wish you a very good trip.

You will have a wonderful time. Im sorry to hear of your dad. It is hard to loose loved ones. But you now get to spend time with others in your family. I am sure you will have a lovely time. Let us know how things went.
