There was a little boy on the news whos story I couldnt help but post.
Shane has cancer and will be celebrating his 8th birthday on May 30th and wishes to get into the Guiness book of world records with the largest amount of birthday cards, if you would like to help him please send them to:

I sent him a card a few months back! Hope he gets enough to get into the Guiness Book.

Thanks for that post, there is nothing sader than a sick child, I will send him a card today and ask my friends to do the same.

My family and I have been sending Shane birthday cards, stickers, hockey cards, and little gifts since his birthday card plee became public. My youngest sons name is Shane; he is 29 and he just happens to have a smart little 7 yr old son named Austin. As soon as Austin put the name of his Daddy with the connect of his age and another little boy, it became a 'MUST DO' for all of us. Shane Bernier then became his instant friend... one he would never meet, but a connection non the less.

Austin would promote Shane Bernier's wish to everyone he knew; ever ones that he didn't.

I thank you for posting this on your web site; there is nothing more devastating than a sick child. Especially one so young, with such a simple wish... a birthday card.

Thank you again for helping to put a smile on a little boys face.

I have just written out a card and will mail tomorrow.I do hope he makes it into the world record book.I saw him on TV but didnt get his website so thank you forr posting this.

My entire school made cards for him so hopefully it helped anyone know if he had it into the book?
