Oh I am soo bad..new rings howdy CFS fans !OK so last Monday I had to go to Vernon..was thinking to myself I wanted another ring,,to wear on my left hand pointer finger,,Oh La La..was just looking at my favorite jewelers,,and omg saw one I just had to have... tt11
I figured that with all the hunting my hubby has been doing he wont mind..his hunting tags etc cost more then the ring...So yeh I bought it,,just picked it up today, for it needed sized..
I was right when I told him about it he didn't mind,,he said he did want to get me a little something else for our anniversary,,so I saved him from going shopping...Also told him I do believe I had been punished already for buying the ring,,,I lost my favorite little Ruby pinkie ring somewhere last wk,,,simply don't know what happened to it...
And anyhow..why I am Sooooooo Bad...so I went to town today to pick up my new ring,,and had took a walk through the mall,,was going through The Bay when I see the big sale sign on the jewelery,,,,OH Oh...saw this beauty Opal ring,,,$212..was the price tag,,,60% off plus my 10% employee discount,,,( any HBC company or store I get my discount) so the ring only cost $80...
Ok anyone have any ideas how to tell my hubby about this new ring....OH OH... :laughmonkey:

This is the new Diamond Ring ,hubby knows about

This is the new Opal ring ,,he doesn't know about...

All my rings..from left to right...left hand,,my wedding band with 10th anniversary ring,,new diamond ring,,right hand,,new opal ring, Family ring I got in July and gold nugget pinkie ring I got in Haines, Alaska

All I have to say is... how do we get people like you into our store?!
As for how to get away with it? Well, I'll never advocate lying, white lies, or "little stories" in a marriage. Just leads to bad places. I'd come out with a gentle confession along the lines of "Hon, I'm sorry but I burned the meatloaf I was making for dinner so here's a steak... hope you like it... and you'r buddy called about poker on Tuesday night... I told him it'd be fine with me... oh, and I 'm sorry I didn't let you know you were marrying a compulsive ring-hoarder... oh, and one more thing... I feeling a little frisky so don't take your time eating."
That might work. Let me know if you try it, but don't hold me responsible. :p

I like the opal ring better than the diamond one
at least it didn't cost alot and it's pretty, pretty things are worth the splurge, I'd just tell him that you got it on sale and your diamond ring needed a friend

Hi,
Bravo on self-care! We need to treat ourselves. Also sometimes it's better to purchase something on sale than to have regretted it and then all you can think of is that item! But do tell hubby. Explain the situation. I am sure he will understand b/c you don't always go out and buy jewelery. This was a special time for you.
Let us know what happens please!!! Second child~Born July 26/08:spot:

AND, if any of you want to buy jewellery and choose to hide it, just come to me and I'll make sure it gets shipped to you in a box from a "feminine hygiene" product. :p

Were you really ever worried? Married for what? 27 years? and you don't think the lad's learned to roll with it? Heck, I've been married 9 years and know that my wife's (occasionally irritating) quirks are simply fine details in the big, lovable portrait, which would be diminished without them.
Give boyo a big kiss and re-assure him that you'll give it a rest for a while.

Hey tv lady! Did you see the commercial where the guy brings his girlfriend into the store, gets down on one knee as to propose and then points to the tv and says can I buy it? She smiles and says she likes it too? I wish I had a tv to send you. Shop around maybe you'll find one on sale (a tv that is not a man! LOL)
