Default OMG Rat infestation in Toronto

I just saw on the news about the rat infestation in toronto and how more cities may be in trouble. People need to keep garbage put away and due to warmer winters. GROSSSSSSSS

*shivers* RATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually i don't mind them so long as they (or I ) keep a rather large distance between us....i have seen a few, but most of the time it is field mice....yes lets hope they stay away from the restaurants....there will be no happy chef careers for them!!!!!!!!!!!

Since I live in Alberta. We have a rat free province. So I've never seen a rat.

I have only seen Muskrats.

I have only seen a gardersnake.

Never seen a cockroach either.

Hmmm do I lead a sheltered life?

Never seen a cockroach either. Just saw the rat on the news, looked like a kitten sized mouse. Yes they do deserve a life too, I agree but can be disease ridden too.

Thanks to you guys for respecting the right for animals to live
Pet rats don't spread diseases unless they've been exposed to wild rats and wild ones rarely do either one of the more serious one that can be passed is LeptoSpirosis and that only happens when humans drink water that a diseased animal has urinated in. The plague was passed by fleas which used the rat to travel and eventually killed the rat and jumped to the nearest warm bodies which happened to be people.
Does anyone want to see a pic of my boys? They are like little dogs, they will lick you and come when they are called. My boys are Coal, he is what they call a black berkshire meaning black coat with a white tummy and white feet and his brother is Chimo, he's a PEW (pink eyed white) he has a pure white coat and ruby colored eyes : if you don't want to see don't click Chimo is eating a piece of arrowroot cookie
