I wish you get to see the hummingbirds in real life Wendy. ^^
They are so beautiful. n_n I saw one when I was about 7 or 8. It was just breathtaking.
Take care everyone and I will probably speak to you all tomorrow.
Just going to go watch TV for a bit.
Have a good one!

Morning
Woke up at 4:40am from a horrible dream. It wasn't anything violent but the words used in it were cruel and heartless. On the off chance it would come back if i went back to sleep i opted to just stay up.
Little storm is just passing through us, quiet for the most part but every now and then some thunder. Radar shows another one behind this one so maybe a little more active then.
Keeper - thanks - i'm keep my eyes on the feeder when i have time cause i think it would be super cool to see one as well.
Sounds like the coffee pot is gurgling so it is time to suck back some caffeine! When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!

so my friend called and it looks like i messed up again this year by not buying a canadian maple leaf rain coat for this years Canada Day festivities.. I hope she is wrong, but isn't that the tradition though... I mean would it really be Canada Day if it didn't rain? lol Still plan on heading to the civic service stadium to watch the bands, and sit and relax while my child bounces his energy away
maybe i will enjoy a hot dog and fry, and if we are really lucky maybe someone will be selling obama tails (aka beaver tails)

Happy Canada Day!!!!
Storms look to have finished for now and sun is coming out. The hummingbird feeder failed as the gallery glass paint i used ran badly from the rain so gonna have to try again with something else next time.
Papaj500 - i hope you find your phone but i hope more that you have a great day :0)When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!

Morning all! Hope everyone had a great Canada Day! We had a family barbeque that somehow turned into a water war and everyone got soaked haha. My little niece and 3 little cousins had a blast trying to soak all of the adults with soaker balls and such from the little paddle pools. It was a great but it was very hot while barbequing. I was doing it for the first half of the food but had to go in and lay down as the sun and heat was killer and almost had me passing out. Other than that though, was a great day.
Still have not found my phone so looks like a new one will have to be bought come GST on Friday. Yuck! I loved my phone.

Gooood Monday afternoon everyone!
Hope you all enjoyed your long weekend! I only had 3 kids this weekend, as the grandparents kept the 2 boys, so it was nice and quiet here lol. They'll both be home this week at some point
.
We didn't do anything for Canada Day, which is odd for us, but payday is this week so we couldn't really afford to travel around and do different things like we usually do. Normally we leave town and take the kids to the free activities at a neighbouring town 20ish mins away, then we head to New Liskeard for Biker's Reunion things and of course, their really big, and great fireworks display at 10pm. This year we just stayed home and played outside with the girls
. Then we went to our fireworks here in town. They were ok, but omg they took FORRRREEEEEVVVVVER to light them! Usually they set them off between 10 - 10:30pm, and it wasn't till just before 11pm they started
. Everyone was getting annoyed! I wish they held them over the lake like they used to years ago, that's the only time you get a really GOOD fireworks show, as they can't use the 'real' ones here in town, they have to be set off over water. Oh well, the girls enjoyed them
.
Today, we're going to clean up and maybe watch some movies and enjoy the last day of the holiday as @5littlemonkeys is back to work tomorrow.

Good afternoon everyone!

Sure hope you enjoyed your Canada Day and are enjoying the last bit of your long weekend.
My Mom and I went to go watch the fireworks at Wonderland last night. They weren't amazing as I expected but they were pretty to watch and started bang on time. ^^
Getting out of the parking lot was a bit of a drag as there were cars just everywhere. D:
But anyways, today we have nothing really planned. We are just going to have a little family get together around tea time and meet my cousin who just came back from Dubai, India,
Scotland and England. Her husband now had gone to India to finish a semester of his schooling. She's back for two weeks and then will be gone again until mid December. So excited to see her. We're having a sleepover next Saturday and I am just super excited. All of us cousins have a great time together. C=Gift Hulk: http://www.gifthulk.com/refer/Keeper

Man it is hot already here. Got the windows all closed with the curtains and fans going to get air flow but looking like it will be an a/c kind of day.
Managed to get most of everything sorted. Supper mostly done, house work and got monkey bread cooking now. Last few days have been harsh pain wise so i've been doing up salads during the day (potato and pasta) so all that needs to be done come time is grilling the meat up. I'm not use to how humid and sticky it has been this yr as we normally have dry heat - sure wreaking havoc on my pos body.
Didn't end up doing much of anything yesterday cause of pain - slept from 4pm til almost 8 then back from 9 til midnight then 1 til half 4 and said screw it and stayed up. What i wouldn't give to sleep through the night again lolWhen you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!

@chicky82 Your hidden attic space if pretty neat! A little freaky, but still a very cool find. I'd probably try opening it up and making it usable.
@WendyLady36 - The humming bird feeder looked great, it's too bad the rain destroyed it. Hopefully it works better next time. And your welcome for the heads up on the prize. Sorry I didn't respond Thursday - we were just running out the door when I saw it so all I had time for was a quick message.
Our trip was good this weekend. Got home at 5 this morning which was a day earlier than planned, but we decided to head home after fireworks last night to avoid traffic. I was glad to get out of there a little early as there were just too many mosquito this year for my liking. There were so many where we were that you were breathing them in all afternoon and night. It's usually not so bad. Had a lot of fun roasting marshmallows and swimming at the beach all weekend though and the fireworks we set off were awesome. Hopefully we can go up again for the labour day weekend.Win 1 of 2 $25 Gift Cards to Cineplex Odeon!http://winjunkie.com/c/171/u/vpbhfok Ends March 24th 2013

wow such a busy weekend! Spent the weekend throwing an engagement party, doing Canada day festivities, had a bonfire, and today was spent out in the sun on the boat. Busy but great weekend.
