howdy CFS fans !Hello everyone,
Hope you're all doing well and have a great day.
I am so glad that the settlement has finally settled Papaj!
It must have been a large headache for you and your family you deal with.
I sure hope that your Mom is okay now and everything is set and done in the past.
I haven't been able to see my Dad yet but thankfully my Mom is with him right now at the hospital. The nurse that he has is a total B_ _ _ _ with a capital B! She is so rude, unhelpful and ignorant. She is aggressive and mistreating my Dad after he's just had major heart surgery. She wouldn't even put his bed up so he can sit up or give him a drink of water when he asked. Instead she kept on pointing to the button and and the faucet and telling him to get it himself. UGH! I am so frustrated right now that if I see her, she might be the on that's in hospital. I mean, if you can't treat your patients with the respect and dignity that they deserve and assist their families during this already difficult time then WHY are you working there?! She tried to kick my Mom out of the room today saying she wasn't supposed to be there. Like excuse me, that's her husband she has every right to be there! Hopefully my Father will be transferred out of intensive care unit and into another ward so he won't have this troll for a nurse. If she is treating my Dad like this, I can't imagine what or how she is treating her other patients, especially ones that aren't able to vocalize their concerns due to language barriers. I will advocate on their behalf and there will be a complaint against her once my Dad is out of the hospital and I will do my very damn best to make sure that she gets fired!! She doesn't deserve to be working in such a prestige hospital. Sorry, I just needed to let it out. I am SOOO peeved off right now!

Hey Keeper,
So sorry to hear about the stupid nurse... I would be so peeved too... you know what's weird, my hubby's sister had a clost call last year and was in intesive care after a surgery, and she had a similar experience... She could barely move and was dying of thirst, and she kept asking the nurse for water, and the nurse completely ignored her, so she tried to drink some herself and spilled it all over herself, and the nurse actually had the audacity to give her sh*t and tell her she should have waited for her. She was so pissed because she had been asking for 10 minutes... there were many other things and she ended up filing a formal complaint afterwards. Its unbelievable how some people treat people who are at one of their most vulnerable points. I hope karma comes back to bite your fathers nurse!
Take care and wishing your father well!

@ Keeper I'm sorry to hear that the nurse your dad has needs some bedside manner training. The bad ones make a bad name for all of them when alot of them work really hard and are good at what they do. Best wishes towards your dad for a speedy recovery.
The heat wave has come back so I'm back to hiding in our cool but gross basement. We might be going away for the weekend but without A/C in the car, it's going to be very unpleasant.
The horn went on my ebike so it's sortof out of commission until I can get to Canadian Tire for a replacement which is been hard to do with my ride working late until after it closes.
I stuck a bell on it but in this town a bell might not cover it as people have been killed on their ebikes, it's like there is some vendetta against ebikers and some drivers are threatening to run them over. Just like anything else, you never see the ones doing the right thing but only the idiots disobeying the laws.
Hope everyone is having an ok week

Hello Talia and Chicky!

Thank you very much for your kind words of support!
I really do appreciate it very much. And I couldn't agree with you more. It takes one person, the rotten apple of the bunch to spoil it for everyone else. The other nurses that my Dad has had have been fantastic and very accommodating and then this one is just something else. I haven't met with her yet but she better get her act together because when I will tear her to shreds. No one messes with my Papa Bear! x) The other nurses who are caring for my Dad are doing a fabulous job will most certainly receive my gratitude and a thank you gift from my family for doing such an excellent job.
I am terribly sorry to hear that you've had a similar experience Talia. It just seems very common nowadays which is such a shame. :c
And Chicky, I sure hope you are okay riding your bike and that you won't have any issues with any drivers. People really need to learn how to share the road! I've seen some drivers just think like they own the road.
Seriously, what is wrong with the world today. x)Gift Hulk: http://www.gifthulk.com/refer/Keeper

Morning all!
Keeper - sorry that the nurse isn't being helpful/pleasant!
tgordon613 - we live in a small community/town. The break in to the car and other things have happened over a course of yrs but it sure does seem like the hubs has bad bad luck with cars!
Chicky - what is an ebike? This is new to me?
Not too much planned here today. Hip is still giving me attitude so just gonna take another day to rest it and keep my activities light. Weather has been teasing us all week. Hot and heavy during the day, looks like we might get rain in the evenings but so far nothing! Who knew Mother Nature was a big tease! Chances again today of course......my grass sure could use a good soaking too and it is too big of a yard to do with just a hose and bad water pressure.
Son leaves today to spend some time with his father but is coming home earlier than planned cause Monday he starts his first day at his first job! I'm so proud of him that @ 13 he is into working for his own money. It makes me a bit sad that my baby is old enough for a job.
My kitties are getting cabin fever being locked up in the house with the heat. They are use to coming in and out of the porch when they what too but with the heat it has been shut up. So got lots of little kerfuffles going on and a lot of kitty cursing too. Can't wait for the heat wave to break and life can be calm again. When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!

Hi Wendy!
Yeah, it really is a shame to be honest but hopefully he'll be transferred out of intensive care this afternoon and we'll never have to see that horrible woman ever again.
Congratulations on your son getting a job! That's wonderful. ^^
You must be so proud and he must feel so good feeling and being independent.Gift Hulk: http://www.gifthulk.com/refer/Keeper

Hi everyone!
What a week it's been. Monday I was up at 4:30am when @5littlemonkeys got up for work, got all 5 kids up, and left to take our oldest to camp. The drive was nice, ws able to keep a steady 95/100 KM/H most of the way there. Outside of a couple slow, and realllly stupid drivers who wouldn't let me pass (I hate people who drive big work trucks sometimes!), and consulting the map/directions I had a few times to make sure I was going the right way.
Then, Tuesday I woke up in the middle of the night feeling really crappy, I had a KILLER sore throat, I don't know where it came from, but it was something awful. So Tuesday I spent napping off and on with some meds on the couch while the little ones were sleeping and my 2nd and 3rd born watched cartoons.
Yesterday I cleaned a bit, and today I cleaned some more. Alyssa has learned some new things, such as sitting all by herself, she's sooo proud that she can do it. Most babies usually do that around 6-7 months, but she's decided to wait till 10 months, lol. She's also trying to stand, and can bring herself into a standing position while we hold her hands, and even takes 'steps' while we're holding her. She doesn't realize they're steps, I don't think, but she's doing it regardless, lol.
Tomorrow morning we're going back to the camp to pick Christopher up, 5littlemonkeys is taking the last few hours of the day off work so he can go. They are having an awards thing and a family picnic before the kids all leave. It's a long drive though, 3 hours each way, give or take.
I'm just waiting for 5littlemonkeys to get home from work, then I need to get Heather ready, as she has swim lessons at 5:30 now, we got her signed back up
. The boys have too much of a busy schedule so they're not back in this round of lessons. Maybe in the fall
.
I haven't read any of the back posts, so I apologize for not saying anything in regards to happenings of everyone else, but I do hope you all are doing well! I just wanted to post saying I'm still alive and still here, just not had the quietest of weeks, lol.

@WendyLady36 An ebike is a battery operated bike with pedals that you charge up and go, no insurance or driver's license needed, you just need to be 16 and wear a helmet. Some people are using them to try to get past driver license suspensions and are riding them like idiots and making a bad name for those who actually enjoy the mode of transport like me. Mine is a scooter style bike and it's lots of fun:
This is my bf riding my ebike last year he refused to wear a helmet but we were on a quiet dead end street at the time and he didn't go far.

Good evening, technically morning as its past 12am now. :p
Hope everyone is doing well and had a great way yesterday.
Ooh, you don't need a driver's licence eh. Haha, makes me more interested Chicky!
BloomingRose, I am glad you are doing well and still alive, haha. Seems like you've been really busy but enjoying life regardless. I sure hope that you are feeling better. ^^ I have a bit of a sore throat myself although I think that's from eating too many ice cubes since I was trying to keep cool. x)
I got to visit my Dad today and although it was really difficult to see him with all of the tubes and pain that he is in, he was in good spirits and it was lovely to see him.
I can't wait to see him tomorrow again. ^_^
Hope everyone has a lovely night. I'll still be here for a bit.

@BloomingRose Sounds like you had a very busy week so far. I use to love going to camps when I was younger and never wanted to go home. I always use to dread the last day when I knew I had to leave but on the way home after spending a few hours with family, I was glad I was back. Nothing like taking a few days away from everyone but it's always good to go back home.
I've been helping demo my mothers basement after it was flooded over the winter. It is soooo gross but thankfully after we are done and the contractors come and remodel her home, she will finally have a great place to live. She deserves it after all shes been through.
I just got word from my case worker that I got approved for Canada Disability Grants for help with College next year which is awesome. Can't wait to go with my girlfriend and finally get our lives in the right direction.
I have lots of more work today at moms house and some important phone calls I need to make so it's another busy one. Hope everyone has a tip top day
Take care all!

Morning
chicky - i can't see the video you posted but google search and it is quick cool. If my balance was better it would be a really good idea to help me get about but lately been looking into scooters
It is over cast and grey here - fingers are crossed it will rain a but finally. I've only managed to bake one thing in the last week and a half and i'm dying for a nice piece of monkey bread lol
The big centennial starts today for our town. Not sure i'm overly good with all the foot traffic the house will be getting. Just hoping it doesn't end up causing us any grief. My dog will be having a hard time with it as she is very protective of her yard, she will have to spend most of the weekend inside pouting.
Keeper - how your dad doing today? Are you going to see him? Hoping all is going well with his recovery - hospital suck all around!
I'll hopefully pop in and out today - wishing you all a good one :0)When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!

My brothers fiance was trying to get me to go to that movie last week but I was busy, good thing though apparently it was sold out! I heard from some friends that it's a good movie for the "view"(if you get my drift) but not so much for the plot. I wanted to get some more reviews on it before I decide if it's a movie I should see in theatres or if it's more of a "wait until it comes out on dvd" movie. So if you go let me know how it is!

Hi everyone,
Sure hope you all had a lovely day. ^^
Sorry I've just been really busy lately. I went to go see my Dad today, spent the whole afternoon and evening with him. He is recovering really well actually and has excellent nurses now.
I am so relieved and I am definitely a full believer in karma, so I'll just leave it be and let karma take its course. (:
I'm just going to go eat late dinner now. I may pop by later.
If not, I sure hope you all have a lovely night.
