@jduncan8 I agree with what your friends told you. I think it was one of those movies that they built up so much to be great and everyone got so excited about it that when I actually went to see it I expected too much and was let down a little bit. It was good none the less, just my expectations were too high. And yes, the "view" was great, but the plot not so much.

@Keeper , good to hear that your dad is recovering well Wishing him (and you) the best!

Quick drive by hello again i'm afraid. Just more things to do and no energy or time to keep up.

Finally won on crayola this morning at 4amish - glow chalk - should be fun to try it but read some reviews on how to make it work better (drying it in the oven)

Fireworks last night were amazing for our 100th b day - dog was so scared tho. Think there was a bit of a grass fire after tho cause of the smoke/fire smell. So far not even noticing the extra foot traffic staring at our house so its all good.

Today if all goes well i'm hoping to hit a few garage sales and maybe a light walk with the hubs and dog.

Oh and it is gonna rain finally!!!!

I did a little bit of shopping today. Went to shoppers to use up some of my coupons for their Saturday only sale. Spent 25 bucks, saved 60 - which is awesome. My boyfriend is ecstatic that he got a battery charger for 3 bucks lol. He uses batteries for basically everything he owns so it really is good that we grabbed one.

Not much else planned for today so we'll see how the day goes. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend so far!!

atsirk - yes I do it at home. It's just easier and way less embarrassing that way. I don't own any equipment though, just a skipping rope so I just do basic things - skipping, jogging, push ups, crunches and I run our stairs a bunch since we live on the top floor of our place. How was the water park? That sounds nice right about now!!

WendyLady36 - congrats to your son on finding a summer job! What kind of things does your town do for the centennial? Also, Congrats on your win!! I'm still trying for one, glad there's lots of time left on it! We haven't been to any garage sale yet, but I love them. Let us know if you go and if you find any goodies

It sure was a hot and humid one over here today. And it seems its going to just keep on getting hotter and hotter.

Just got back from visiting my Dad. He is doing really well and off of oxygen now which is a great sign. He'll most likely be discharged on Monday as he is making great progress but anything can change and I don't want to jinx anything so 'knock on wood'. ^^

I'll be around for a bit so if anyone wants to chat, just hollar!

We had to go to 5 different Shoppers today to get the TP! (Someone didn't want to leave the house until 9pm to do it!) Anyway I did get a rain-cheque for our local Shoppers so I can pick up another 4 packs sometime during the week.

Keeper - Your dad must really be looking forward to being discharged though! I remember by the 2nd day in the hospital I was more than ready to go home! I missed my private washroom and comfortable bed and TV and on and on. I really also hated having to have someone do EVERYTHING for me! The first day I had to call a nurse every-time I had to pee!

Yes, he most certainly is ready to come home I believe.
He just can't wait to be back at home in familiar surroundings, surrounded by family and I bet he can't wait to get to sleep in his own bed although I'm sure he'll miss the automatic bed settings.

I think there are now more Shoppers Drugmarts in my city than Tim Hortons! There are now TWO within a 4 minute drive from my house. I didn't even think to ask for a rain cheque... the cashier OFFERED it. So glad because I was so about it I forgot they even existed!

@aly3360 - Ya for some reason, the government hates to give settlements within a good time frame, they sometimes make people wait YEARS and with all the pain and suffering she has gone through since her accident, it's about time she got some sort of "compensation" from them. We are planing a trip at the start of the NHL season to go up to Toronto and see the opening game versus Montreal. Shes a crazy Leafs fan like myself and it's been her dream to see a game in Toronto. That will be nice I think

As for school, I am enrolled in Business Admin. I have the tuition paid for by the government and these grants will help me get transportation and my supplies. I can't wait as my girlfriend is going with me to take the program as well

I have to head to my moms again today to work on demoing her basement some more. Lots of work still to be done as we have to take all the walls down today and put in some new metal joists and such to keep the house from caving in.

I went to shoppers yesterday during their Saturday only sale and they had the 12 double rolls of Royal toilet paper on for only 3.99 so I grabbed a bunch. Thats much better then paying like 10 bucks haha. They also had their Life brand of paper towels on for 1.99 for 8 rolls which is a steal for them around here.

Just got home, my Dad was discharged from hospital today!
I am so excited and happy as is he. Now here's where the hardest part comes, changing around your lifestyle for the better. Caring for him at home is going to be hard but I'm sure we'll manage. We always do.

Thank you once again everyone for your kind wishes and concerns.
My family and I really appreciate it and it means a lot to us.

Keeper - glad to hear he is home! Hospitals are not a good place to rest when they wake you all the time to "check" you out. I'm sure being home will help him recover better!!
Let us know what you think of the new Spiderman movie - i'm curious to see if it is worth bothering with.

Didn't get anything done yesterday - body wasn't willing to play nice. I did spend the day resting and the evening spending some nice alone and calm time with the Hubs which we haven't done in a long time. We munched out and watched the new 3 stooges movie which was awful btw and just frumped out and enjoyed the time together. My son is due home tonight around 5 from his dads so he can get ready/prepared for his first day as a newspaper carrier. I just hope he is able to handle the early mornings on his own as he's always slept through his alarm during school.

Well thats all i got going on today. Just doing a few of the point site stuff and then gotta try and get a bit of house work done.
