What do you do to save money?

1. I reuse Grocery Bags. They always seemed to get reused, especially in summer and wet towels and bathing suits.

2. I like to order the daily special if and when eating out. ( unless of course I know I won't eat it)

3. I buy Generic Food Brands when possible instead of "top brand names" all the time. Exept Heinz Keatchup Gotta have that and Soya Sauce has to be "China Lilly".

4. I try and buy items on sale. Especially school snacks I tend to stock up when there's a good sale. I also try to buy bulk at Costco's when I go for items like Chicken, pork chops etc, that I can freeze.

5. Garage Sales - I find the best board games, and I buy my books from there as well to last through out the summer. ( my library here truely sucks - comes with a small town) But anyhow, Way cheaper paying 50 cents compared to $10.00



That's all I can think of currently. What are some of the things you do?

lol i send my kids to a relative lol ( just kidding)
i recycle, i dont order out.. i use coupons .. abd i shop at second hand stores for clothing.

coupons, second hand stores, stock up when there is a good sale, more home cooking than eating out and use tennis balls in the dryer..this alone saves a bundle in a year, use vinegar instead of expensive harsh cleaners, buy store brands, and of course the freebies. Looking for more suggestions..

Tennis balls in dryer sounds like a good one.I wait for safeways 2 for 1 meat sale and stock up then.Also the dollar days at superstore are good,stock up on tomato paste,beans and tuna.Dont eat out much but go for specials when we do.Also reuse shopping bags.In sunny weather I dry my washing outside.
