These are just a few of the things to watch out for while freebie hunting...the people that run these sites are trying to get "HITS" on thier sites and are hoping to make money through the google ads..You wont recieve a freebie cause there isnt any and there never was ....all you will probably get is alot of spam..UGH Another big thing to remember is...if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is!! Ok Now lets talk about fudging Fudging is a way to fill out forms that are based for US residents. Please note that this wont work for all US Freebies but there are some that will come even though it looks for US only. 1. You can add your Province and Postal code and Counrty in the address line. 2. In the Zip code you can enter "00000" or "99999" 3. In the drop down menu for State, what I do is select the closest one to my own province. I live in Alberta so I select "AL" ( Alamaba). Want to fill our request forms faster? You may want to try roboform..it is easy to use and will save you tons of time. When you go to a request form page it will fill in all the info for you. Remember not to put in your real phone number when setting it up, but if you enter a contest you will have to change that on the form before summiting it. instead of roboform.. I have the google toolbar downloaded and use the "autofill" button to fill in all my info.. I find it easier to use, you can download it here: http://toolbar.google.com/T4/index.html


and I wouldn't bother with the USA forms that have to be "fudged" they never come anyways...

i have been very succesful with the us only freebies. oftentimes, i get an email saying they are sorry, but the offer is only open to us residents. i reply stating what a disappointment it is, and most often get the freebie and a few more goodies as an apology :o)

Use a hotmail address, or gmail or whatever, and if you get spammed at least it won't cause you stress.

Thanks for the extra help. I have been using my cell phone number instead of my home, since I screen it more. Now I will just use a fake one. I use a mac and it has a built in auto fill.

I have call display and I don't pick up the phone unless I know the phone #.

I know something that I got from some other forum and I think it really really helps. I saw there that if you went directly to the freebie with OUT copy Link Location, but just clicked right in, they would trace your entry into the site as coming from a freebie site.

So , as I do in Firefox, I right-click and select "Copy Link Location, on the forum link, then open a brand new tab, then paste the link into that. Then they cannot trace where you came from. Got several freebies that way, I believe. Motto is: cannot trace how you got in-you get freebie, usually.!

Somebody pls make this a sticky. It'll really help out.
