Bassett “Elway Home” Sweepstakes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. The Bassett “Elway Home” Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:01 am (EST) on August 3, 2007 and ends at 11:59 pm (EST) on November 16, 2007 (the “Promotion Period”).

ELIGIBILITY: In order to be eligible for entry into the sweepstakes, must be: a) a legal resident of the Contiguous US and 18 years or older at the time of entry with a unique valid Social Security number, OR b) a legal resident of Canada, excluding residents of Quebec, who is at least the age of majority in their province of residence at the time of entry.

Employees and their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings or spouse, regardless of where they live, or persons living in same household, whether related or not) of Sponsor, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, contractors, distributors, sales representatives, retailers, advertising and promotion agencies, and any others engaged in the development, production, execution or distribution of this promotion are not eligible to participate. VOID IN QUEBEC AND WHEREVER ELSE PROHIBITED.

HOW TO ENTER: There are two ways to enter:

1) Visit www.bassettfurniture.com and complete and submit the Official Online Entry Form, in its entirety, including your name, company name, address, city, state/province, zip/postal code, phone, and e-mail address and date of birth. Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses, or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. All entries become the property of the Sponsor. Incomplete or inaccurate entries are void.

2) Visit a participating Bassett Furniture location and complete/submit the Official Entry Form provided and drop into the entry form box provided. In the event that supply of entry forms is depleted upon your arrival, you may enter by submitting a 3”x5” index card hand-printed with the same information; name, complete address, daytime phone, e-mail address (if available) and date of birth.

Limit one entry per person/e-mail address throughout the entire Promotion Period.

DRAWINGS: On or about November 30, 2007, independent judges will select the winner, in a random drawing, from among all eligible entries received. Judges decisions are final. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.

GRAND PRIZE: There is (1) One Grand Prize of a trip for (2) two to the 2008 Big Game XLII in Glendale, AZ from February 1 through February 4, 2008. The Grand Prize Package includes: a) airfare for (2) two to and from major airport nearest winner’s home to Phoenix, AZ b) hotel accommodations for (1) one double occupancy room c) (2) two tickets, d) a meet and greet with Hall of Fame Quarterback John Elway and e) transportation to and from the airport and game. The approximate retail value for the Grand Prize is $20,000 USD. The Winner is required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Travel must be roundtrip and must be taken on the specified dates above from February 1 to February 2, 2008. Sponsor is not responsible for airlines cancellations or delays. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the package description above, including but not limited to, additional ground transportation, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, meals, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes or other expenses or incidentals are the responsibility solely of winner. Any taxes imposed on the income of the Grand Prize winner as a result of winning the Grand Prize and all other expenses not specifically mentioned herein as part of the Grand Prize are solely the responsibility of the Grand Prize winner. All travelers must possess required travel documents (e.g. valid government-issued photo I.D.) prior to departure. Travel companion must travel on same itinerary and at the same time as the winner. Travel companion must execute liability/publicity releases (except where prohibited) prior to issuance of travel documents. All minors (based on age of majority in resident’s province) must be accompanied by minor's parent or legal guardian. Travel restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. No transfer or substitution of prize is allowed except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. There is no cash alternative offered, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The value of the Prize is taxable as income and Winner is solely responsible for all matters relating to the Prize, including, but not limited to all applicable federal, state and local taxes that become due with respect to the Prize.

SKILL-TESTING QUESTION: All potential prizewinners, who are residents of Canada, must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question, unaided (by electronic or mechanical or otherwise) prior to being awarded a prize.

PRIZE WINNERS: Except where prohibited, the potential prizewinner will be sent a confirming letter, the mathematical skill-testing question (if residing in Canada) and an affidavit of eligibility/liability/publicity release within ten (10) business days of winning. In order to be declared a winner, the potential prizewinner must correctly answer the skill-testing question and sign and return the affidavit of eligibility/liability/publicity release within ten (10) business days of receipt of confirming letter. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within ten (10) days of the first attempt to contact him/her or if he/she fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, where applicable, or if he/she fails to sign and return the affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within the required time period, an alternate entrant will be selected in his/her place at random from among all eligible entries received.

GENERAL RULES OF PARTICIPATION: This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state/provincial and local laws and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of laws principals. By participating, entrants and their participating entities agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and the Independent Sweepstakes Administrator and waive any right to challenge the decision of the Independent Sweepstakes Administrator regarding any claim of ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules, whose decision shall be binding. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, undeliverable or incomplete entries, whether due to system errors or failures, faulty transmissions or other telecommunications malfunctions, entries not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system errors and failures, faulty transmissions, technical malfunctions, or otherwise. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants, Sponsor, or Sweepstakes Entities. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not able to be conducted as planned, including, but not limited to, by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion, then Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and randomly draw from those entries received up to the cancellation/suspension date.
