Rayovac 2007 "Pick the Power Suit & WIN!"OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONSHOW TO ENTER
1. The contest commences Monday, September 3rd, 2007 and closes at 11:59 pm (ET) on Monday, December 31st, 2007. This Contest is sponsored by Spectrum Brands Canada, Inc. (“Sponsor”).
2. To enter, visit www.cherrypowersuit.ca, click on the contest link, complete all entry form information and click submit. To participate by mail, print your name, home address, telephone number and, if applicable, email and work telephone number on a plain piece of paper. Each entry must be mailed separately in an envelope bearing sufficient postage to Rayovac 2007 "Pick the Power Suit & WIN!" Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 30010, 478 Dundas St. W, Oakville, Ontario, L6H 6Y3.
3. To be eligible, all mail-in entries must be post-marked, and online entries must be received by, no later than 11:59 pm (ET) on the Contest Closing Date, Monday, December 31st, 2007. No purchase necessary to enter. Void where prohibited.
4. Maximum of one (1) contest entry per person, per household, and/or email address. If more than one entry is received from the same person, household and/or email address, all entries will be disqualified from the random draws. Incomplete, illegible, misdirected, lost and late entries will also be disqualified.
THE DRAW
A random draw will be made for the Grand Prize Package by an independent judging organization on Friday, February 1st, 2008 in Toronto, Ontario at 10:00 am ET (“Draw Date”). One (1) entry will be randomly selected from among all eligible entries received on or before the Contest Closing Date for the Grand Prize. In order to win, the selected entrant must first correctly answer without assistance a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone at a pre-arranged, mutually convenient time. If a selected entrant cannot be reached within ten (10) days from the first attempted contact then the entry is null and void and another entry will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries and the contact process will be repeated with delays running from the date of the new draw. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Entrants will not be individually contacted except for selected entrants or declared winners who will be contacted by telephone and/or e-mail. If a potential or declared winner is not in compliance with the contest rules, the contest judges reserve the right to disqualify such entrant from the contest and randomly select a further entrant from the remaining eligible entries until a winner is finally declared. The contest judges shall attempt to contact a selected entrant within ten (10) business days of such selection and such selection will be otherwise subject to the same conditions as set out in these contest rules. These rules apply to all prizes and draws throughout the contest.
THE PRIZES
1.There will be one (1) grand prize awarded for the Rayovac 2007 "Pick the Power Suit & WIN!" Sweepstakes, which consists of: round trip economy class airfare for two (2) people (including departure or airport taxes) from the major international airport nearest to the winner’s residence to Toronto, Ontario (if necessary), two (2) nights accommodation (double occupancy) at a hotel, a Meet and Greet with Don Cherry for two (2) people, two (2) tickets to a Professional hockey game in Toronto and $500 (CDN) for spending money. Black-out periods may apply to travel bookings at the discretion of Rayovac and the airlines. Travel must be taken at a date which is to be determined. Airfare will only be awarded to winners who’s closest international airport is not Toronto Pearson International.
2.Ground Transportation, flight connections, meals, room service, gratuities, taxes, travel and medical insurance, duties, levies, visas, passports and health documents required by law, excess baggage costs, personal expenses, car rentals, gas, car insurance, items of a personal nature or other expenses not specifically included in the prize package are the winner’s responsibility. The prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or convertible to cash. Sponsor retains the option at its sole discretion to make substitutions for the prize or any component of the prize.
3.All additional travel arrangements are at the winner’s sole expense. All travel arrangements are the responsibility of the winner and are to be booked a minimum of six (6) weeks prior to the travel certificate’s expiry date. Passports may be required.
4.If a winner does not accept or participate in any portion of the prize for any reason the winner forfeits that portion of the prize.
5.The maximum retail value of all elements of the Rayovac 2007 "Pick the Power Suit & WIN!" Sweepstakes prize package including the $500 cash prize is approximately $3,000 (CDN).
THE SECONDARY PRIZES
1.Ten (10) secondary prizes will also be awarded on the Draw Date from eligible entries as described below, consisting of a limited edition, autographed Don Cherry Power Suit (approximate value of $500 each).
2.Fifty (50) bonus prizes will be awarded on the Draw Date from eligible entries as described below, consisting of a Don Cherry autographed poster (approximate value of $100 each).
3.Seventeen (17) weekly prizes will be awarded throughout the contest from eligible entries as described below, consisting of a Rayovac product package (approximate value of $25 each).
4.All prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable or convertible to cash. Sponsor retains the option at its sole discretion to make substitutions for the prize or any component of the prize.
WEEKLY PRIZE DRAWS:
A random draw for each weekly prize will be made in Oakville, Ontario at approximately 2 p.m. ET on every Friday beginning Friday, September 7th, 2007 and ending Friday, December 28th, 2007 (hereinafter referred to as the “Weekly Draw Dates”) from all eligible online entries received on or before 9:00 a.m. ET on each Weekly Draw Date. Non-winning entries will be pooled for subsequent draws, however entrants may only win one weekly prize per person. The odds of winning a Weekly Bonus Prize will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received before the Weekly Draw Date. In order to win, selected entrants must first correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question.
GENERAL RULES
1. This Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada, who are over the age of majority in their province of residence, except employees (and persons with whom they are domiciled) of Rayovac (“Sponsor”), and the independent judging organization and any of their affiliates, franchisees, and each of their respective advertising and promotional agencies.
2. If any form submitted is obtained through fraudulent means or in any way tampered with, forged, mutilated, illegible, incomplete or mechanically reproduced it will be disqualified.
3. Entry forms submitted become the property of the Sponsor and none will be returned. Neither the Sponsor nor the independent judging organization is responsible for The Rayovac 2007 “Pick the Power Suit & WIN!” Official Entry Forms or other entry forms lost, late, incomplete, incorrect, misdirected, postage due or delayed for any reason. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants.
4. All decisions of the Sponsor, its appointed representatives, and of the independent judging organization are final.
5. The Sponsor reserves the right, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux in Quebec, to substitute prizes of equivalent kind and value as well as to cancel or modify the contest or to amend the contest rules or the prizes for any reason at any time without notice.


13. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
14. Residents of Quebec: Quebec residents may submit any litigation respecting the conduct and administration of this publicity contest to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach settlement.
