ELIGIBILITY:This contest is open to all Canadian residents, excluding Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence at the time of entry excluding employees, officers, directors, contractors, franchisees and agents (and each of their immediate family members (including spouse, parents, siblings and children and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those with whom such employees, officers, directors, contractors, franchisees and agents are domiciled) of H&R Block Canada, Inc. (the "Sponsor") and Mindblossom ("the host"), and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, franchises, advertising and promotion agencies of the foregoing and the contest judges.
ODDS OF WINNING:The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the draw.
THE PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE:The prize consists of $5000 in cash from H&R Block for the winner. Only one (1) prize will be awarded. Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable. No substitutions by the winner will be allowed except at Sponsor's option.
DRAW AND WINNER SELECTION:The draws will be conducted by a representative of the Sponsor on or about June 30, 2009 in Calgary, Alberta at or about 1:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. The draws will be conducted as follows: one (1) random draw will take place. All ballots received will be included in the draw. The selected entrant will be contacted by phone or email. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted within fourteen (14) days after selection or there is a return of any notification as undeliverable, that entrant will be disqualified and an alternate entrant will be selected by random draw from among the remaining eligible entries. Before being declared the official winner, within fourteen (14) days after receiving notice of his/her possible winner status, the selected entrant must first a) correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill testing question to be administered on the release form; b) otherwise comply with these official rules; and c) except where prohibited by law, sign a standard declaration and release form confirming compliance with the contest rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded and releasing and agreeing to hold harmless the Sponsor, the host, the contest judges, the prize suppliers and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, franchises, advertising and promotion agencies, and the officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns of each such entity (the "Releasees") from any and all liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising in connection with this contest, the entrant's participation herein and/or the awarding, acceptance and/or use of the prize or any portion thereof. If a selected entrant fails to return the contest documents within the specified time, he/she will forfeit the prize and an alternate eligible entrant will be selected by random draw.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:By entering the contest, each entrant agrees to be bound and abide by the Terms and Conditions of the www.refundroadtrip.ca web site. In addition, by entering the contest, each selected prospective winner agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, statements about the contest and/or photograph or other likeness without further compensation, worldwide in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in connection with or regarding this contest in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the Internet unless prohibited by law.
Without limitation, the Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies, the host, and the contest judges will not be liable for any failure of the web site during the contest; for any late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, delayed, illegible, reproduced or otherwise altered entry; for any technical malfunction or other problems relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; for the failure of any entry to be received by the Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies or the contest judges for any reason including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site; or any combination of the above. Further, the Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies, the host, and the contest judges will not be liable for any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading any material in the contest.
The Sponsor reserves the right, to withdraw or amend this contest in any way, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of this contest as contemplated by these Rules. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void in Quebec. The decisions of the contest judges with respect to all aspects of this contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal.
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend this contest in the event of any accident, printing, administrative, or other error of any kind without prior notice or obligation.
PERSONAL INFORMATION:By entering this contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, the host, their agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her sign-up entry for the purpose of administering the contest and in accordance with Sponsor's Privacy Policy found at www.refundroadtrip.ca unless the entrant otherwise agrees.
