This web challenge should showcase the celebrity healers in the plant kingdom - remember this is the origin of so much of traditional medicine.
Botanical art is the discipline of sketching or photographing plants accurately with respect to their unique properties. Photographers are asked to pinpoint each plant's name and primary medical function. The very best botanical photographers are both artists and scientists as they require different skills including a detailed knowledge of plants, and a keen eye for composing attractive pictures.
