The “Nature Valley Backyard Makeover Sweepstakes” contest (the “Contest”) commences 11:59 a.m. (ET) Tuesday, August 14, 2007 and concludes 9:00 a.m. (ET) Monday, November 19, 2007 (the “Contest Period”). The Contest is brought to you by General Mills Canada Corporation (“Contest Sponsor”) .
ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada that are nineteen (19) years of age or older on or before the first day of the Contest Period.
Notwithstanding the above, the Contest is not open to individuals associated with the Contest, including the employees, agents or representatives of the Contest Sponsors (including their respective divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising or promotional agencies) and suppliers providing prizes or other materials or services in connection with this Contest (collectively, the “Excluded Individuals”). This Contest is also not open to the immediate family members of the Excluded Individuals, and all other persons with whom the Excluded Individuals reside.
HOW TO ENTER
To enter for a chance to win, visit the following contest website (www.naturetoyourday.ca, www.naturedansvotrejournee.ca), and follow the instructions and complete the online entry form. Once an entrant enters the Contest and submits his/her entry, if they are declared a winner, their name and any interviews/video taken of the event may be posted on the contest websites (www.naturetoyourday.ca, www.naturedansvotrejournee.ca) or broadcast on television in connection with the Contest. Entries will not be eligible if any method not specified above or if not received during the Contest Period. Should it be discovered that an entrant is using the aid of computer/software programs to auto-fill entries, that entrant will be immediately disqualified from the Contest.
No purchase is required to enter. Limited to only one entry per person per day. See Draw section below for date of draw for the Contest Period.
PRIZE
There are three (3) Grand prizes available to be won. Each Grand Prize consists of a makeover to the winner’s backyard which includes professional consultation, installation and all related merchandise. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The winners will be declared on or about November 20, 2007 and fulfillment will be executed in the spring 2008. The approximate retail value of each Grand Prize is approximately $10,000.00 CDN. Any taxes are responsibility of winner. The implementation of the makeover will be at the sole discretion of the Contest Sponsor and in order to be declared a winner, the potential winner shall be required to sign a release, releasing the Contest Sponsors from all matters related to the makeover.
DRAW
A random draw will be executed by a third party agency, at the offices of Mosaic Sales Solutions, on behalf of the Contest Sponsor, on or about November 20, 2007 at approximately 5:00 pm ET. In order to be declared a winner by the Contest judges, a potential winner must be in compliance with these Official Contest Rules and Regulations and, in particular, the following:
A Mosaic Sales Solutions employee must be able to reach the potential winner by telephone within three (3) business days of the date on which the potential winner’s entry was selected.
The potential winner must correctly answer, unaided and within a set timeframe, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by a Mosaic Sales Solutions employee by telephone.
The potential winner must complete, sign and return a standard form declaration and release prepared by the Contest Sponsor within ten (10) days from the date on which the form is sent to the potential winner.
An alternate winner will be drawn if initial winner cannot be reached, has failed to correctly answer the skill-testing question, is ineligible, or refuses prize.
If a potential or declared winner is not in compliance with these Official Contest Rules and Regulations, the Contest Sponsor reserve the right to disqualify such entrant from the contest and randomly select further entrants from the remaining eligible entries until a winner is finally declared.
Each declared winner consents to the Contest Sponsors’ use of his/her name, city of residence, photograph, voice, statement and image for any publicity or programming purposes, in all media, without remuneration, throughout the world in perpetuity.
Entrants will not be individually contacted, except for selected entrants or declared winners, who will be contacted by telephone.
