Double Chocolate Brownies

I found this one on Jenny Craig website. I'm a chocoholic and is great - very rich tasting. I used mashed banana instread of the apple sauce as I think banana enhances chocolate better and I was right. I also added peanuts and walnuts.

Sooooo good I couldn't wait until it had cooled down.

Double Chocolate Brownies

¾ cup all-purpose flour
1 cup Equal® Spoonful
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or mini chocolate chips (I've found sugar free chocolate chips which I'll use)
6 Tbl unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
6 Tbl stick butter or margarine, softened
½ cup unsweetened applesauce (I used mashed banana)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Combine flour, Equal®, chocolate chips, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
Beat butter, applesauce, eggs and vanilla until blended. Stir in combined flour mixture until blended.
Spread batter in 8” square baking pan sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
Bake in a preheated 350º oven 18 to 20 minutes or until top springs back when gently touched.
Cool completely on wire rack.
