Default Microwave Corn on the Cob!

Hey everyone!

Just discovered microwaving corn on the cob. It was fantastic...so much more flavor as it is steamed instead of boiled. I discovered this today as I was in the grocery store and my friend I was with said oh corn is on sale. I responded yeah I seen that but I hate have to peel off the husks and all the "hair" from inside...it makes such a mess. Then this lady pipes up and says have you ever tried doing it in the microwave and she went on to tell us how good it is and how easy the husks and stuff comes off it. She was so right it just peeled away. I guess because it was a little damp from the steam it stuck together and came off very easy. I cooked 2 cobs for about 7 minutes and it was perfect. If you haven't tried it, I recommend it!

Thanks, I tried this the other day. It tasted the same, but this way is much easier.

I agree that it is better steamed in the microwave. The cobs don't get all heavy and water-logged either!

I prefer to cook it in the microwave as well but I usually peel it first, I'm going to have to try with it on if it comes off easier.

sounds like a good idea, but dont you take the husks and hair off before you cook it? that's how my family does it and it tastes great!
