this is listed as a "contest" on the divine.ca homepage. They are recruiting for homescan panelists (Search this site if you want info and personal opinions on joining this panel - it's been discussed before) The reason I thought I would post it is because it says "you will receive $5 upon the Neilsen company's succesful receipt of your information"

There is no cost to register and participation is entirely free.

I had previously had the scanner but had to return it. I found it very time consuming for the amount of items I purchase on a daily basis. Some people don't mind but for me I did not have the time.

I belong to Survey Lion. You make money by doing surveys and getting referrals. I have gotten 1 cheque of $5.00 and I am waiting for 2 more. I did a survey the other day for $6.00 but most of the rest are $2.00 or $3.00. You also get $5.00 for each referral who signs up and does some surveys. nope, they email you a link to a survey and you fill it out online. Each survey is worth points. Once you have 1000 points you can redeem them for a $10 check.

I have belonged to this group for over 2 years. You get emailed surveys, then sometimes you get to try free products and they will either call you or email you for your responses to thier products. I have received free cookies, huge jars of cheese whiz, pop, drink singles, health bars...the list goes on and on. What i like best is when they send stuff, the survey is in the box, fill it out and when they call you already know the questions they ask, you can answer quickly. pretty cool stuff.

I am returning my scanner as well. If you don't send them scanned items weeklly they start sending you emails and calling you regularly. I'm sorry but I don't buy stuff every week. I do skip a week here and there. The points to get gifts takes way too long to accumulate. In my opinion it is not worth it but it might just work for someone else.

I called the phone number at the end of the survey... it could take up to two years to be "chosen" for the surveys... SO... I hope they call. You receive points and then can redeem them by choosing things from a gift catalogue. Sounds great. I hope they call me !!!
